^^You forgot Shadow. I hated that. And Sonic360 isn't a remake, they were just too lazy to come up with a title. I don't hate Sonic, I've just found his recent games less appealing.

Shadow the hedgehog was one of my all-time favorites. It brought badass Shadow to a whole new level. I mean, you could use guns in a sonic game!!!!

The series in general seems to have matured a bit from the cartoony past. It's noticeable in that we see characters die, the new villains are more badass, and we don't hear stupid quotes like "mmm chili dogs! Muh fave!"

Oh, yeah, I didn't mean remake. I just meant to imply that it had that name.

Also, Shadow wasn't horrible. It just wasn't as good as it could've been, and it didn't need the guns.

A hedgehog is only as badass as he is fast IMO. I never played the Shadow game, but doesn't he drive cars and stuff? What's the point of driving if he can run much faster?

That's what I don't understand about that game.

I would like to see the return of a Sonic game where you can become Super Sonic at your own free will while you are playing an action stage. Perhaps you would have to unlock difficult features or collect the chaos emeralds while in the action stages just like the old days? Something old fashioned like that would rock.

^Super Sonic was meant to be special. I'm glad the newer sonic games made it that way. But if you want to get technical, Shadow the Hedgehog had similar powers when his hero or evil meters got full. I doubt we will ever see the world of Mobius again.

This game has potential.

Now Shadow wasn't terrible, it was badly presented. This is what I thought was missing/need improvements.

BETTER GUUUNS!
Make the vehicles actually FASTER than shadow.
Make the storylines better.
Make the last boss harder than the first boss.

I rather thought Sonic 360 was decent, thats my own personal opinion.

Sonic and the secret rings was brilliant. Seriously.

SA2 has been the best though, asides THEFINALHAZARDLOL. That boss was too easy.

Sonic Adventure: I love it meh gameplay and interesting story line.

SA2: The Best Sonic Game Ever. Not the best story but brilliant gameplay and fantastic multiplayer.

Sonic Heroes: Really went back to the good old 2-D in terms of stages and speed.

Shadow: I would say this would have been my favorite if it moved faster and had Ratchet and Clank-ish gun selection.

Sonic 06: It is by no means good but it's not the firey peice of crap most would have you think.

Secret Rings: Diffrent in agood way nice concept could have been better implemented.

Shadow the Hedgehog....you could say the ESRB ruined it. Sega wanted a teen rating for it but they opted for the E+10 instead. I'm kind of dissappointed because for that part they had to edit out the language. Luckily I believe my copy is uneditted as I have version 1.0.

I swear if the new Sonic game isn't for the PS3 I'm gonna be pissed. The onlt thing that could make me happy after that is Sonic Team announcing they're making an updated version of Phantasy Star Online for the PS3, which I doubt would happen. (One of if not my favorite sonic team games, Dreamcast you will live on!)

From my sources, it's gonna probably be multiplatform (I think they learned from Sonic 360) and stuff.

X-3: There were more curse words and more blood. Generally it was even more over-the-top and immature than it already is. Which is silly. You need a proper set of characters and tone to do that stuff. The way it came off was more like how you make a little kid battery-powered Harley Davidson ride-thing vs. the real thing.

If you're gonna be gritty, then by all means, program it in... properly!

What would be cool about Sonic Unleashed is if they give Sonic his Soap Shoes back. I'm hoping for that because I think they look better than his normal boots. Could that be a possibility since they are bringing back rail grinding?
