I went back to playing Sonic Adventure DX.

I ended up hacking the game and found a plethora of beta content (not to mention some very complete stuff they just decided not to add).

Most interesting I found was the Samba Grand Prix track for the racing. It was all Samba themed and replaced the original GP track. I've also found one that is all eggman themed as well.

It's always fun to see what stuff didn't get into a game.

Anything else notable?

SEVERAL pieces of unused music and sound effects although you can still see those through sound test. A black hedgehog (not shadow though).

In a way, yes, since once you collect all the Chaos Emeralds in Sonic 3, tails becomes slightly lighter, and gains flickies around him.

^Holy ****! I never knew that the game had VMU graphics still in it too. I knew of the debug mode and yes everything in this game that's beta is pretty crazy. What I found of the black hedgehog though is different from what they have though. Mine has some red streaks at the top. I think it was used during when Sonic overlooks the flames and such during a tikal flashback. Also, I'm shocked to see that the dragon boss is still in the gamecube version.

Dear god, I can finally see the boss working!

Holy crap, those are some cool finds.

Tell us if you find anything else really cool, WvW.

I really love reading about "removed" stuff like this.

Okay guys, here's my find. Hidden racing tracks that were once downloadables in the original sonic adventure are now still in Sonic Adventure DX but you cannot get into them without an action replay. This further proves that the game is just a direct port with a few addons and tweaks.

Samba GP, Eggman's Challenge, An Upward Battle, Jumps N Bumps, and Crazy Corners.

Also, it's a little known fact that tails can get into Emerald Coast without actually hacking the game itself. There's a "hole" in the wall that tails can jump through and fly over to the entrance to emerald coast via walking/flying around. The scary thing is though that when Tails gets to the halfway mark he is teleported to a little room with a spring and nothing else (he immediately falls into nothing and dies though). This is in ALL versions of Sonic Adventure and as to why they decided to leave the bugs in the director's cut is beyond me.

Also, I got Sonic into Twinkle Park early by going into the sewers then getting onto the pipes on the walls then doing a jump up towards the hole in the ceiling but little more to the right to get behind that box that only Big should be able to push aside. Then just continued through to the door then through the pipe to twinkle park. Sadly, I was stuck there in the pipe because I was in the area too early and no cutscenes were activated in turn.
