Is the Blue Blur making a comeback?

Well with the anouncement of 3 new Sonic games (All of which are looking pretty exellent IMO) could the Blue Blur be coming out of his slump?

Well, it's all a question of circumstance:
One of the 3 isn't actually being developed by Sega, which is part of the reason people are optimistic about it.
One of the 3 tosses most of the extraneous characters, which is part of the reason people are optimistic about it.
One of the 3 gives Sonic a sword, which is part of the reason people are saying "DUDE! SONIC HAS A SWORD!"

So things are looking good, but the end result has yet to be seen.

And remember, "I'm-a Tails, number one!"

We'll have to see how the 3 games are, before deciding whether Sonic has gotten back on his feet.

Unleashed has the potential to be good, but i'm not going to let myself get trapped in the cycle.

The RPG could be good, but its an rpg, not a platformer, so even if it is its not going to turn the series around.

sonic and the stupid sword will suck, no question, its not even trying to look good.
