Question about Hyper Sonic

In Sonic 3 and Knuckles (Sonic 3 locked-on with Sonic & Knuckles), you had the ability to transform into Hyper Sonic by obtaining the Super Emeralds. Yet, I believe the Master Emerald is the one who gave Sonic the transformation, let me explain why I think so.

When you get all the Super Emeralds, it showed the Master Emerald and those starry things appearing from it, making it obvious something was coming out of the Master Emerald. Then it said you can transform into your Hyper form.

I believe that the Super Emeralds were only needed to activate the power of the Master Emerald. Any thoughts or objections to this?

The Super Emeralds are pretty much unknown of. They were just thrown in randomly to make S3&K more intresting. Now, if we look at the Chaos Emeralds, the job of the Master Emerald is to contain it's power. The Super Emeralds are powered up versions of Chaos Emeralds. It could be possible, however, that the Super Emeralds contain a different force that taps into the power of the Master Emerald.

Of course, the Super Emeralds had to stay in the Master Emerald Shrine, unlike the Chaos Emeralds. At this point, it would be false to say the Emeralds would have to be next to the Master Emerald to give power, as during Sonic/Tails playthrough, Robotnik ends up stealing the Master Emerald after the fight with Knuckles. During the Sky and Death Egg stages, you can still turn Hyper.

I always thought that the Super Emeralds were simply the actual Chaos Emeralds after S&K. Sorry, I'll explain. Perhaps the Emeralds collected in Sonic 3 were only one half of each of their respective Super Emeralds, eg. the half that remained on the ground and which were hunted in the previous games. The Super Emeralds were formed by two of these Chaos Emeralds coming together to form a whole.

After all, you never see the original Chaos Emeralds again after S3&K. Their design's changed to that of the Super Emeralds.

Does anyone understand what I just said?

^ I get what you're saying. Actually, I was thinking of the same thing. Because once you get to the Mushroom Hill Zone (stage 7 I believe) and jump into the super ring, you're transported to the hidden palace zone and lose your Chaos Emeralds, and they turn into the Super Emeralds. So you lose your Super Form, but you can get the Super Emeralds to go into your Hyper Form. So it's no doubt that the Super Emeralds are actually the Chaos Emeralds.

But don't you find it weird that in the Sky and Death Egg stages that there were no Super Rings? That if you don't get the Super Emeralds before Sky you're pretty much screwed? To me, it felt that the Master Emerald is needed for you to get that form, otherwise Sonic would still be able to get Super Emeralds.

^Perhaps it's just 'cause the Death Egg isn't a part of the Floating Island, and Sky Sanctuary is collapsing anyway by the time you get there?

But then that doesn't explain why they're on Egg Battery.

if you remember the master emerald turned the chaos emeralds into the super emeralds

and ever since they have been called the chaos emeralds again (in the adventure)

that's why, in the adventure games, sonic and shadow had powers that were (in my opinion) above a super form. Such as flying through space (adventure 2)

On the other hand I've only seen her use the ring...
