I refer to my qualifications, rebuffing WvW. Then Speed sees them and goes on an insane campaign to try to say he'd do better than me. People are instead inspired to vote for me. then HotD comes in as the voice of reason, noting activity in the forum trumps anything else.

That doesn't stop Speed from making campaign buttons, and then Blake making political satire, and me firing it back at him, but by now the insanity's died down.

II.2. Primary Election
The moderator election in the chosen forum is a primary election. It is solely for the purpose of the forum leaders to get an idea about who is favored to lead that forum. When the primary election has gone on long enough, an administrator will close the topic and send it to the Moderator Forum for a final decision. The winner of the primary will not necessarily be selected as the new moderator, and all candidates should recognize this before running.

I know you guys can follow these guidelines. If you'd like to build a stronger platform, the best thing I can recommend is showing how you would make a good forum leader by posting topics in this forum and supporting those topics by communicating with the other members in a fashion that promotes enthusiasm and participation. Don't get pissy with eachother just because you don't like the same games, don't talk down to other members. Give everyone a fair chance to participate, regardless of their typing abilities or knowledge of the series. If there are questionable posts by spammers or flamers, report them to the mod forum rather than screaming your head off at the offender.
