As much blasphemy as this is going to make, I believe that if they can't make Eggman more than a secondary Villain, then they need to store him away for a couple of games, until they can make him a better primary villain.

They have a much better time with one-time villains like Mephilles anyway.

I almost bought a Nintendo Power magazine today. It had who I believe to be Sonic in some badass armor with a sword. So as long as everyone gets such a badass upgrade, I don't want any characters to leave.

"Sonic Games" that don't have Sonic as the Main (or at least playable) Character:

Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (No Sonic at all...)
Tails Adventure
Tails' Skypatrol
Tails and the Music Maker (Educational)
Knuckles' Chaotix
Shadow the Hedgehog (^_^)

... and that's about it (I think). My point: there are Sonic games that don't feature Sonic as the main character.

... Yeah, I looked most of them up.
