I hate Shadow. With a PASSION. Nothing is more fun than making Shadow fans upset. XD And the Maria thing... He did'nt even KNOW Maria!!
There was no need for him really. Robotnik could have found out about, and activated the Eclipse Cannon without Angsty the Hedgehog.
He died at the end.
I was happy.
Then he cheats death.
I am furious.
Shadow needs hoverskates to match sonic in speed, can just about match his strength, Has no reason whatsoever to destroy Sonic, and has hardly any unique qualities between Sonic and him. And without a chaos Emerald, he can't do anything, really.

Shadow sucks.

I'm fairly indifferent towards Shadow mainly because I don't know him that well (although he did annoy the sanity out of me in Sonic X), but the only "backup" anyone can give for why he's awesome is "Because he's awesome."

Sonic is much cooler IMO because he's the original and has that uniqueness and personality. Shadow's cool too, all he really is a rehash. They could've made him a different animal to add more creativity.

^Actually, no, the topic title in neither a question or an exclamation because it doesn't make senese. If he were to add a "?" after Sonic, then it would be a question, followed by a statement.

i found nothing wrong about him. it was like ying and yang and it made an interesting story for me. plus it brings in the whole "tragic past makes a mysterious and misunderstood character" come into play.
i've noticed that recently, putting characters like that into anything, is huge.

You all know my opinions from the other topic, so I'll sum them up in three words.

Angsty Sonic recolour. If he had stayed dead at the end of SA2, it would have justified his existence as a character. That was his single defining moment, and Sonic team had to bugger it up by bringing him back in Sonic Heroes/Battle.
