New Shadow the Hedgehog game?

I don't know if this a hoax, a early April Fools joke or what. This is suppose to be the new Sonic game they releasing on the GC later this year.

Anyway, you play as Shadow. With a gun. The heck..? Why do he need a gun? Anyway, I'm not excited about this if its real.

Normally, giving a guy a gun makes them seem 'bad ass.'

But with Shadow....well, not so much.

His moves don't mix well with a gun.

I know, but seeing a Sonic character with a gun looks weird to me.. I understand Sonic Team wanting to try something new and make the Sonic games more mature, but cmon. I probably end up buying this game anyway, even tho Shadow is not one of my fav characters.

A gun is not bad ass. A evil smile with tons of evil wepons is bad ass.

Might work, but I still want a game with SONIC as the main charater.

I think the gun may be used to kill the other Shadows. With a gun, he may have more of a advanage. Like, without it, it might be a draw between him and a clone. You never know.

Now he only needs a sword.

Screw it. I am offcially done with anything that has to do with Sonic the Hedgehog. We were told a new Sonic game would becoming out, and now this hunk of steaming crap is going to be released.

I hope SEGA crashes and burns. Giving Angsthog his own game is one thing, that's no big deal, but turning it into this, giving him a gun, A FRIKKIN' GUN is another.

I am now 100% certain SEGA no longer has any idea what quality is, all they need is the flavor of the month, and HOO HAA HOORAH, and new crappy game!

Goodbye Sonic fandom. It was a swell time together, but nothing lasts forever, eh?

EDIT: I would enjoy it eh? The only way I would enjoy it is if Shadow died by some gruesome, effecient way, that would most certainly keep him from ever coming bck. That happens, and I may reconsider.

When a classic game idea gets a different idea, you all flip out, saying it's going to suck. Look at Donkey Konga. Many people didn't like the looks of it, but when it came out, many people changed their minds.

You need to get your heads out of the past, people. It's the next generation, people. Sure, I miss the old classic games, but I actually enjoy the 3D Sonic games. It's not going back to 2D, people, get over it.

This has nothing to do with the fact that it is new, I enjoyed Sonic Adventure and Heroes very much. This has to do with the fact that SEGA is stooping so low as to do something like this.

Handguns should not, ABSOLUTELY NOT be in a Sonic based game, they don't belong.

Before calling me or anybody else morons, have you even looked at the trailer yet? I just think the idea of Shadow using a gun is stupid. Hes the Ultimate LifeForm, he doesnt need a gun. Sonic Adventure 2, Heroes and Battle shows that he can do well on his own without one. And I also LOVE the Sonic 3D games, I actually love them more then the 2D games, Sonic Heroes is the only one I don't like.

Indeed, the idea of a weapon is not a good one, but what really ticks me off is when the concept of the game is introduced and people start accusing that the game will suck. They haven't even played it yet. Donkey Konga was probably the prime example of what I meant. Who knows, though, this game might actually work out. And if it doesn't, oh well. It can go to the crapper, although more than likely there will be a lot of plot inserted into it.
