Game for a while: God of War.

God of War.

Bloody, Brutial, and Fun.

Set in Antiant Greek times, with stunning graphics. This hack and slash style, with the "Press button when we say" type of combat. Leads to this great game of the last couple of years.

You mission is simple, to destory Ares, The God of War.

Armed with Chainblades, Medusa's head, and a list of other magic, Kratos (You) gets to rack up twirling combos, which usually ends up with a lot of mangled up bodies.

Also you can get different costumes, which effect you in different way?

Anyway, discuss.

It's a great game; one of those beat'em ups that we so sorely need in this day and age. Plus, it has boobies.

Cool things were finishing moves, where you'd just grab the guy and deliver a crushing final blow.

I've beaten the game, but only on easy. But god mode is HARD! I'm at the part where you first meet wraiths. The wraiths alone pose no threat, but when teamed up with cyclopses it makes for a tough battle.

Anyway, this is one of the best games I've played on the PS2. Hopefully the sequel improves upon what made this game great.

I started the game on normal diffuculty (as I always do, starting on easy is for the feeble), but after about 2 minutes I though that was easy, so
I played spartan and that was still easy, anyways I beat the game on spartan the first round through.
Most of the extra costumes are funny.....

I loved the combos you could do with both swords, and nothing was more satisfying than grabbing the annoying archers and ripping them in half. But no exp, so that didnt happen often.
