I never understood why people waited outside the store for days before the launch of a soon to be released console. I'd rather way a few years in comfort to pick up a console than two days in the cold: of course there's possible price cuts, but I don't have to fight with stampedes and eBay scalping, there's time to get some good games on the system, there's plenty of time for the engineers to work out the bugs in the system (*cough*first wave Xbox 360*cough*), and I have at least 600 games around my room that aren't going to play themselves.

Where are these lemmings going? Not the Super Nintendo Super Shire! They know to go to Codiekitty.com now!

A friend of mine called me last night at 11 while I was in bed to ask if the Walmarts around here (120 miles from where he lives) had people waiting for the things because if not, he was going to come get one. I guess it's a good investment since he just wants to sell it on Ebay anyway.

Yeah, I don't care if I get fired, I've got a PS3! And isn't that all that really matters?

The only thing that I can say that is bad about it now that I've played it at my WalMart, is well, the user interface is too nice, and it's too shiny. Kinda silly, I know, but I can't argue anymore.....*waves white flag*

Our local Wal*Mart got a Playstation 3 display. It looks like a George Foreman Grill and quit working after just 4 days. It was just playing movies, it didn't even have a controller yet.
