well when I try to play my PS games on my PS2 the screen bobs up and down and on PS2 games the screen is fine...well both the disk speed and texture mapping are at standard when I play them.....and the disks aren't scratched...can anyone help me?

make sure the game is in mode 60. otherwise the screen will roll

It may be your system just ha a loose chip try returning it for a new one and or how old is your tv?>

^ But PS2 games play without the little bob up and down.....yes I have newer tv's but the screens are way bigger and couldn't fit in my room(with all of the space being used)

well...why not just use the ps2 where the other tv [s] is/are, unless they are in someone else's room? The tv in my room is incompatable, so I just hooked up my ps2 to the tv in the family room.

The tv in my room is incompatable, so I just hooked up my ps2 to the tv in the family room.</font>[/quote]yes I could...and I might but I'm afraid of my cousins because they are both younger than me(10 and 8) but they wreck my data for games 'cause they don't know whats what...and one time the 8 yr old was playing yoshi's story(before I sold my n64) it wouldn't start...so she took the cartridge and LICKED the inside of the cartridge because she thought thats what ppl do when the game dosen't start when what they do is blow into it....and they both get into trouble on a daliy basis...

Ive heard of licking the bottom of the game, Soetims it will work. I dont recomend it though. I have the first nintendo system, NES, and the games are really old so most of the time they dont work, you have to sit there and blow on them for 30 minutes. Now they say not to use any cleaning solovants on them, but I got so fed up with this one game, I busted out the "Mean Green" Its called and went crazy. I put the game in, and it worked on the first try! If you have that problem, just get a Q-tip, spray some cleaner on it, and clean the thingys at the bottom!
