Game for a While:Dark Chronicle

Dark Cloud2 or Dark Chronicle.

RPG hack and slash style of game.

Things that I like about this game.
Making items by using Photographs.
Improving the weapons by adding crystals, and such.
The weapons break after so much use.
Storyline is decent.
Time travel.
Monica can transform into a frog.

Things that I don't like about this game.
Fishing system (I much prefered DC1 style)

Storyline.
In a town which nobody leaves, lives a young boy. Who is given stone by father, it turns out to be a magical stone which the bad guys want. So the boy decides to flee town, then later on decides to help save the world.

This was a very good game. Spheda and Fishing may have been broken, but fortunately you're only required to fish a few times and you can skip Spheda if you suck bad enough.

The graphics are very good use of Cel Shading. If Wild ARMS 3 hadn't already taught us this, Cel-Shading can be very good if it's done right, not with irritating eye-searing colours lacking an outline like in Katamari Damacy and Wind Waker.

There's also a plot twist in chapter 6, and it is rather humorous. ;p

Actually I didn't mind Spheda. It's a good idea, but just annoying.

I never got to chapter 6, the disk broke before hand. :P

The orginal was great also.

I liked Dark Cloud, great story line, and better weapons, and more chars (although never used any of them, and one of thems a Cat-girl, (and I love cat-girls)). But I love DC2 much more.
