PAIN

This is easily one of the dumbest, most fun games I've played in months. Anyone else heard of it, perhaps even given it a try?

I know nothing about it. Tell me more.

I mean, when you can describe it that way after having just played Sin and Punishment, this must be nuts.

Imagine 'Burnout'. Take out the cars; add in a giant slingshot, with which you fling people through the air into a cityscape in order to cause rampant destruction, ranging from 'merely' knocking signs off buildings and breaking windows to blowing up cars and derailing trains. Points added for particularly horrifying injuries to the flingee (nothing gory, you understand--it's all G-rated, and the characters don't seem to suffer any actual damage), with a multiplier for each object you bounce them off of. It even has aftertouch, so you can steer your victim through the air. It's really well-executed, with top-notch physics and presentation. Has a sense of humour, too (not that it needs much of one--I mean, call me crazy, but I don't really need a punchline for 'screaming man flies through air, bounces off billboard, falls down industrial chimney, triggering explosion that propels man back up into air, landing him on L-tracks, where he gets hit by passing train, propelling him down through open-air cafe, destroying it, where he lies, moaning "...medic..." as debris rains down from above'). Nice and cheap--only cost $10 through PSN. Could easily have been on PS2, but it isn't. Ehh.

Oh right. I forgot what forum I was in.

I was hoping it was a PS2 game. Sounds like Burnout with some God Hand humor. I could go for some of that.

Yeah, that PSN. Terrific game, and the vast majority of people will never even hear of it. Ah well.

I'm currently debating if I should download it or not.
