A new used PS2, for the second time...

I just bought a used PS2, years after my other one was put out of comission. It has no memory card and 2 controllers. I have 2 games for it, Resident Evil Code Veronica and Shadow of the Collossus. Both are great, 5 minutes in.

I don't have too much of a point...um...oh, it's a flat one. Does anyone else also sell/rebuy their systems like idiots? Or is it just me...

Well, once or twice in the past I've sold a game and then gone back and bought it again. Never a system, though.

No memory card? Yikes.

Heh. SotC is good, but I wasn't too impressed with RE:CV.

I've given most of my old systems to my sister, for free too.

Yes, new-used. A term that makes little or no sense that I made up. New, as in, I didn't have one and now I do. Used as in, previously owned.

Also, I am not too impressed with RE:CV either, compared to the other RE games, but it is still better than RE4. That game is good, but overhyped.

It's an oxymoron - a term that on first look contradicts itself but makes sense in context.

Sony makes **** hardware that's designed to die. I've known this since my first walkmen. You're destined to rebuy PS2's, even if you don't sell your first one. Supporting the corrupt giant is a heavy price to pay for some of the wicked games that play on their systems.

All my Sony stuff works fine....Well I only have the consoles, but they all worked fine.

The PS1 works fine, but now spends it's time peacefully asleep.
The PS2 is having fun listerning to my sister sing in singstar.
The PS3 has had no problems so far.

I've only once had a console die on me. My first 360 got 360 cancer and died. It was sad.

Anything anyone has ever bought me with the Sony name on it has worn out after about a year. I have a PS2 back home that I don't use, and it still lives - probably for lack of use.

Isn't there a certain time period that these systems are supposed to survive? Mine never died on me anyway. Infact, my systems are all quite resilliant. My PS1 is unused so will probably be around a while.

I once had a PS2 that had trouble reading discs. A drunk friend opened it up and screwed it up pretty bad, worse than it was. Then, a different person reassembled it cause we couldn't. He left out a large portion of parts...it actually still worked after it's abuse.

I sometimes sell games to make some extra cash,but it's never much.
I am considering it for a living though.
right now it's out of the question,but pretty soon i'll probably be able to start.

You mean like, going and finding games to buy then resell for profit? Sounds kinda hard.

But, I was at a website and for 40 bucks, I can supposedly get into the video game testing biz. They supposedly pay you by your level of skill and you can pick any catagory of game(s) you choose to test...I'm good at RPGs, really good actually. But I think it could be a scam.

As if anyone cares, but I just bought Super DBZ and Soul Calibur 3 for my PS2. I also got ahold of a memory card. Neat...

Heh the only reason I ever play my PS2 is because I'm feeling the need to replay some classics. Mostly Lunar Silver Star Story Complete, Final Fantasy Tactics, or Kingdome Hearts. Granted I need to finish KH2 oneday but I'm currently rather annoyed with the final Xenams fight.

I beat both 1&2 but never Chain of Memories. I read a while back that a revamped KH2 & KH:CoM would be released on PS2. Is it out yet? I'd snatch that up fast!

I haven't heard that rumer. The main reason I hate the final Xenams fight is because of all the damn sections it's broken up into. Sure it looks great and adds some extra challenge to the fight but did we really need the fight the dragon shaped spaceship part, or the when Sora is captured play as Riku part?
