^I for one enjoyed the BN spin-offs, and they provided a nice, "what if" look at the series. SF is fun, but that "what if" element is kinda missing. I prefer the platforming games, however.
What I'd like to see is a Legends game on the Wii somehow. I imagine it would control nice.

Oh, and...Sonic and Mario at the Olympic Games? It happened, and hilarity ensued.

People have opinions. Just because they're diffrent from yours doesn't mean they're wrong. I mean, sure, Ninty is better than Sega statistics wise. But that doesn't mean everyone who likes Sega better is wrong.

Their spin-offs are generally pretty good, at least what I've played (like MMXtreme, for example).

Well, I didn't mean it was TERRIBLE, I just meant it wasn't as good as the others.

I liked it. I just wish they didn't have to yell that stupid thing in order to change into a Megaman.

Dude, ZX is awesome. Advent wasn't as good as the first ZX, but it's still pretty awesome gameplay. If you liked ZX Advent, but thought it could be better, try out the first ZX game for the DS. Or just play Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrows. It plays similarily, but you get a lot more abilities/weapons, and I think that helps.

I never compare Megaman games to their NES ancestors, because the NES wins every time.

No one can doubt the NES. The first time I saw an NES was when I was three.

I disagree - the NES games aren't even really the same genre as ZX anymore. Apples to oranges.

Everytime I see this topic, I imagine Nintendo trying to pimp out Mario the way Sony does their products as slick and edgy, and it's hilarious. I tend to think they'd change all his clothes to leather, give him sunglasses, and then he'd look like a bouncer for a gay nightclub from the 80's.

Mega Man ZX is a great series. I haven't played the second one, but I'd really like to since the first one was so great.

I've heard generally good news about the ZX series, sans its weird plot.

Also, SEGA and Nintendo being rivals was like, waaaay back in my generation, Mariominister. If you're like in, 6th grade or something, like, when I first joined VGF 9 years ago, then the last gasp of rivalry was in 1999... ...which would actually be around some time you were just born.

Actually, Metal Man, we're in fourth grade. I know, it's crazy.

If you're in the 4th grade, you should be 10 the oldest - unless you were held back. 10 years ago was 1999. Sega hasn't been a realistic competitor for Nintendo since the Saturn tanked, so that's a non-issue. The president of Sega had to bale out the company with his own bank account just to get the Dreamcast released, and then they were bought out by Sammy - who forced them, as majority holder, to release games as a 3rd party developer. That means they suck up to Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft as much as possible.

^ Dreamcast doesn't count? O_o

Let's face it; even the worst of the Mega Man games are at least playable, though we all have our favorites.
