Very light-hearted. Reminds me a lot of the 16-bit Sonic games. The game itself is pretty buggy and the levels are too freakin' long, though. |

You create your own character's facial appearances, and what they are (Knight, Thief, Magician, Priest, Hunter, etc.). What type of character you choose reflects their stats. I chose Knight, because although it had quite a bit of room for improvement compared to others, it had okay stats and good armor, along with a longsword. However, the armor I had also weighed me down a lot, meaning I moved slower and for less time. The objective is to save the Kingdom of Boletaria (something like that, ha) from the demons invading it. For each demon you kill, large or small you get souls, which can be used to upgrade your stats in various ways or buy equipment and items. Demon's Souls is also known to be one of the hardest games of the decade, which is very true. In one part (I won't give away spoilers)...let's just say I died at least 30 times before being able to pass it, and I'm not too bad of a player. Something that makes this game even more frustrating is that each time you die, you lose all of your souls and are forced to restart that level from the beginning. It's also pretty long, especially with the difficulty, which for good reason can not be changed. Yesterday, I played the game for over 10 hours and only passed the first level (there are seven or eight, I didn't really pay attention to how many there are). And so, this game is for players that can take frustration well without throwing the controller at the TV, and for one with plenty of free time, as it takes hours upon hours just to complete the beginning. Overall, though, from what I have experienced, I would rate it 9.5, and recommend this game to anyone with a ps3, as I'm pretty sure it's a ps3 exclusive. If you want to look further into it, go to Gamespot and click the link (or search for) the Game of the Year (2009). Yes, it did win =) |

I always did love that game, so I decided "What the hell" and went for it. However, I had forgotten that I actually have much fonder memories of the human campaign and opted to shoot straight into the nonhuman campaign, which was stupid as ****. Either way, it's currently on hold. As for any other games, I haven't really sat down to play any video games at all lately. It's sad, really, since I had so many games I was getting heavily into for a period there... Maybe I'll start playing a bit more fervently over the next few days. |

Still fun, so far made it to fall year 1. Got... Harvest Moon Island of Happiness on my DS. Huh. ![]() |

It's pretty faithful to the original Pro Skater games. MegaNova (Beta Testing): Working on Katana Man. His pattern is very difficult to program due to all the stuff he can do. I'm not the best at programming bosses, I'm better at stages. SuperSponge (Perfect Run): This game was not made for perfect running, which makes it very challenging. But it's good for the brain, I guess (aside from all the ruptured veins I probably now have). Mega Man 5 (Perfect Run): This is turning out to be easier than I expected. However, I've only done 3 so far. Yeah, I don't play anything just for fun. |
