i dont base my concept of Alexander on 1 game a couple yrs ago. u challenged me to recall a time in the 1st 6 carries Alexander performed well. excuse me if no one does spectacular on 6 carries unless they do what portis did in '04 on his 1st rush as a Redskin. im just saying that 13 yds isnt what ud expect from an MVP calibur player on 6 carries. ud usually expect more towards 20-22 yds.

There's no challenge here because I'm right. You dug up a game in 2002 against the Vikes (bottomfeeding D and all) and used it to say "OH NOES HE SHOULD RUNS UP TEH YARDS TEH FAST." Thing is, its true with Alexander as its true with every RB of that ilk...they get better as the game goes on. He ran six times in two short possessions. You can't tell anything off a balance-to-power back in six carries. Backs like Bush (Faulk, Tiki, Dunn, etc) that depend on speed and quickness to get yards are different and can show their stuff in a handful of carries. Alexander (and others of his ilk) have always relied on defenses wearing down. Seriously, stop talking and stop making yourself look silly. Its a basic part of offensive strategy in football: establish the run early in the game to wear down the defense to break big runs later as well as open up the downfield passing lanes. Sure, he got 2.2 ypc, but if he stays in for, oh, I don't know, two more possessions, you're going to see that almost double because his two yard runs are going to turn into 5+ yard runs.

The reason the Saints won't make the playoffs is because their division is too tough, Carolina, Atlanta, and Tampa have overall better teams.

Actually, I'm a USC fan and got on the bandwagon there. It just happens that he was drafted by my hometown team.

Saints are instantly a playoff contention because they have a probowl QB, probowl WR, and probowl HB on top of Reggie Bush. If you watched real football and payed attention to what happens in the offseason instead of basing your nonsense on one game that happened in 2002 and various other dillusions, you might know that.

However, I never said they would automatically get in the playoffs. I'm going to say something that's overdue, and I'll even dumb it down for you:

Horn has 7000+ career yards and makes amazing highlight reel catches. If he had a decent QB (ala not Aaron Brooks), he puts up even larger numbers. u say my grammar and everything is so difficult to read and u cant understand it. if that were even close to true, then there would be no arguement, just me talking and all of u sitting there dumbfounded by my comments. the fact is none of u gives a siht about what i have to say, no matter if it be true or false. all of u just gang up against me bcuz i dont think reggie is gonna do well his rookie yr. i think u got confused on my opening statement lurch. when i said, "forget taking reggie bush 1st, i wouldnt take him at all" i was refering to fantasy football this yr, and to the ESPN.com fantasy football commercial where the guy takes bush #1. of course i think reggie bush will become 1 of the better rbs in the nfl, just not this yr.....and unless new orleans upgrades its offensive line next yr, he wont be all that great next yr either. i do think, however, by his 3rd yr he'll be a top 10 back if not a top 5. i dont give up my point and concede defeat, i merely believe in my most recent post besides this 1......the topic has outlived its lifespan. not to mention that u guys obviously arent open to other ppls opinions in the least. this is all i have to say on the subject, unless u guys choose to dig into this, and somehow critisize me for something i wouldnt even be able to comprehend right now. u tell me to gtfo, when if ur complaining about internet slang on.....what is this?......o ya, the INTERNET, u should b the ppl leaving not only this thread but this website and ur computers all together (plz forgive me for talking like jim rome just then, i really hate jim rome).
