And show me a $50 dollar ticket to The Game tommorow and I'll show you ticket that doesn't exist.

Dude, Michigan-Ohio State is more than a game. It's a tradition unlike any other. It's the fiercest rivalry in all of sports. Every year, it's a big deal, from the Script Ohio controversey to the Snow Bowl in the 1950s, to Woody's infamous two point conversion in 1968, to Bo and Woody's Ten Year War. The two programs are virtually defined by each other; and neither Michigan nor Ohio State would be as prominent as they are without this rivalry.

It's no wonder tickets to this are selling at $3000. And it's not just because it's 1 versus 2. -CSM

Okay, A) You're right B) You're right C) You're wrong, I'm a big College football fan, I'm just not a big fan of Ohio State and Michigan and D) You're right on that one.

I can and will find a way to show you a $50 (acually less than that) 1A football ticket, because I own one. I'll like Photocopy it or something. You better that ticket that doesn't exist ready for showing.

SG, CSM, I think slapnuts isn't getting that you're talking about the street value, not the face value of the ticket.

Welp, it was good game. Buckeyes, I don't think we could ask for a better rival.

But Michigan still has to win the Rose Bowl (I do NOT want to see a rematch, OSU won fair and square). If Michigan can play like the way it played on the non-OSU/Ball State teams, it will win the Rose Bowl.

At least I can solace in the fact that Brady Quinn will never win the Heisman. -CSM

I don't have a problem with a rematch. This isn't a play-off, if Michigan is the 2nd best team in the nation, they should play. If Florida wins out, though, I say they should get the chance.

USC shouldn't have a chance. They struggled and even dropped one against teams a #2 team should have beaten soundly. If they win out, they'll have some nice wins under their belt, but I don't think that makes up for their ****tier performances.

Please. Rematch would be lame.

NEWSFLASH: NOBODY OUTSIDE OF MICHIGAN OR OHIO CARE ABOUT THE CIRCLE-JERK. WE CAN TAKE ONCE A YEAR. WE DON'T WANT GAME OF THE CENTURY PT 2.

Simply put, they lost. Late.

If Arkansas is a 1-loss team, they deserve to go in more. They would have beaten Florida, LSU, Auburn, ran the table in the SEC and the only loss would have been to USC (and that was under a different QB).

Rutgers: you're gone. It was fun, thanks for all the turkey, enjoy whatever dump bowl you get.

If Notre Dame stomps the everloving sh1t out of USC, I'd have to give them the nod. If USC wins out and stomps the sh1t out of ND, I'd have to give them a nod.

UM lost to the only good team in their conference. I'm a Big-10 fan, but that conference is tOSU, UM, *huge gap* Wisconsin, everyone else.

No way Notre Dame goes in over the team that blew them out in their own house (and a tough house it is).

Michigan v. OSU round 2 might not be the game I want to see the most, and teams at 12-1 having their only losses being to each other would feel unresolved, but it's easy to make the case that they deserve to be the #2 team.

Ideally, I'd like to see Florida win out and go.

Srsly, a rematch would be BO-RING!

I agree that USC doesn't deserve it too. I've always thought that USC was overated, and the Pac 10 conference too. Last year vs Texas and this year vs Oregon State proved that.

I would go with Florida, but the way they struggled with South Carolina, so I don't think they really deserve it either. I would also go with Rutgers, but they really screwed themselves last night at Cincinatti.

Right now I would go with Arkansas, If they win out (I'm not sure if they won yesterday or not either) because, even though they lost to USC, that was at the beginning of the season, and I think they've got it together now.

I've changed my mind about a rematch. I think the NC game should be about finding the #1 team in the nation more than it is about pitting #1 and #2 against each other. Michigan has already proved that they are not #1.

Of less national importance, but of great importance to me, Texas A&M beat Texas in Austin today in a win that will keep UT out of the Big XII championship game if OU beats Okie St. tomorrow.

Also, A&M demolished yet another QB. Baylor's Bell, OSU's Reid, and now Colt McCoy.

It should be OSU/USC. But the rematch I REALLY don't want that people are talking about is a Michigan/Notre Dame rematch in the Rose Bowl. After the way ND played last night, I don't think they even deserve a BCS spot period. They're a good team, but they in no way can play with the big boys. Michigan, OSU, and USC all killed them. I bet Florida and Arkansas would do the same. Hell, LSU deserves that bid now. -CSM

Georgia Tech, but they're not going to any BCS games. Tech lost to Clemson who lost to Maryland who lost to Wake. Wake'll kill 'em. Tech also lost to the Dawgs.

My brother tries to give ND credit for beating Penn State, but they're 7-5, which is pitiful for a storied program like the Nittany Lions. -CSM

I'm glad they lost because it frees me to do one of my favorite things in sports: hate on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The ONLY reason I haven't been hating on them all season is because I called them as the second place team. Yes I'm that stubborn, and yes I like hating on ND more than I like hating on the Yanks and BoSox combined.

ND doesn't deserve it because they came into USC and choked out multiple possessions in the red zone and got stomped. They were never in the game.

If I were a pro team looking at drafting a QB, I'd take Booty over Quinn every day of the week because at least Booty isn't 0-4 against his biggest rival and has the best qualities of Palmer and Leinart. Quinn is a jabroni who can't get it done in the big games...just what I DON'T want in a pro-level QB. His draft status dropped from a top 3 pick to the 5-10 range.

Anyone that slurps on Weiss is stupid. He's a good coach, but not in college. OH yeah, and while I'm at it, firing Ty Willingham was a move spurned because he was a black coach that wasn't a ND grad. There, I said it, cry more.

I've had no respect for ND since 99, when they stubbornly refused to join the Big 10. They're geographically there, they play more teams out of the conference, and it would give them a better shot at making a title game and not playing a schedule where they beat teams like 41 straight times (i'm looking at you Navy). Seriously. Join the Big 10 ND, and maybe we'll talk.

USC winning is the best move for BCS chaos. You now have Fla. and USC bearing down, needing only one more win each, put themselves in a place to push for a national championship. If both get screwed for this tOSU/UM circlejerk, I expect nothing less than a destroyed system either by the rednecks in the SEC pulling out or by having two conferences say, "yeah, screw this."

I found this pretty good.
Quote:
Dear Mr. Dorger,

As lifelong Michigan fans, we are extremely excited at the prospect of the Wolverines playing in the 2007 Rose Bowl. A trip to the Granddaddy of Them All would be a fantastic cap to a great season.

However, much recent talk about Michigan's opponent, if the Wolverines are selected, has centered on a potential rematch with Notre Dame, something we find about as exciting as a case of kidney stones. Furthermore, I bet most other Michigan fans - as well as college football fans across America - feel the same way.

Who wants to see a replay of a game that wasn't even close the first time?

Michigan already soundly defeated the Irish - on their home field - by 26 points in September. And the Irish, coming off a 20 point pasting at the hands of USC, are not ranked in the top ten in the latest polls, have only defeated one ranked team and were fortunate to pull out wins against lesser teams such as Michigan State and UCLA.

But there is a great match-up out there pitting two top fives teams against each other: #3 Michigan vs. #5 LSU.

Not only would an LSU-Michigan matchup likely be much more competitive than another Michigan-Notre Dame game, the Tigers and Wolverines, despite their storied histories, have never played. In addition, LSU head coach Les Miles played for Michigan under legendary coach Bo Schembechler in the 1970s.

Obviously we understand that a number of issues are considered when selecting teams for your bowl game, such as how a team's fan base travels. But this is not an issue with LSU supporters. Their fans are as ravenous as any in the country and would, we're sure, be delighted at the opportunity to play in their first-ever Rose Bowl.

So please don't give in to the temptation of matching up Michigan and Notre Dame...again. And consider the incredible pairing of two top five teams in Michigan and LSU - as they meet for the first time ever - in Pasadena.

Sincerely,

The MZone
-CSM
