ESPN.com - MLB - Report: Torre won't survive Yanks' collapse, to be fired Major League Baseball : News : Major League Baseball News Wow, just...wow. This isn't confirmed yet, as its reported by the NY Daily News. I'm not sure even the yanks are that knee-jerk. You can't fire a 1000+ win manager because Sheff (1-12 with 5 SO), K-rod (1-14 with 5 SO), and Giambi (1-8 with a HR) didn't show up during the postseason. Whoever grabs Torre (if he comes out) made the friggin steal of the offseason. |

It would be the same thing if the Braves told Bobby Cox to GTFO. Typical Yanks though: tons of hype with no delivery. ESPN.com - MLB - Torre will not be fired, still Yankees manager |
