It's Time!(for a comparison)

Joseph Addai

The Edge

umm.... You said that without the Edge... The Colts would suck... yet the Colts are 10-1, and umm.... Joseph Addai completely Rocks!

Im happy about the year so far...

Now to the point, Joseph Addai is a great running back. This clearly shows that any player out of the draft can be good, so don't count a guy out for being picked out there in the late pics in the first round, this proves that anyone can have a good year, even a non top ten round pic.

LOOK AT THE SCHEDULE

Problem with the Clots is they're not playing decisive against good teams or even average teams. They almost lost to the Bills, Titans, Denver, and Giants, and only won by seven against New England and Jacksonville. Not to mention they lost to an incredibly overrated Cowboys team. They look above average against teams with good defenses.

One and done (again).

Win = scoring more points than the other team. Colts have done that 10 times.

BTW, are the Cowboys really that overrated?

Oh, and I'm really liking Addai as our RB.

Thing is, you're playing mid-level teams too close and your defense is suspect at best.

Yes the Cowboys are overrated. The defense isn't good enough to hang, Romo is vastly overrated from three good performances and will be exposed once defensive coordinators realize he's playing Madden 07 style and throwing it to TWO every three plays. Sure, he beat the Clots, but then again, the Clots only beat the Bills, Titans, Broncos, and Giants by a FG or less.

Edge James sucks this year because he's on the Cardinals, which are by far one of the worst franchises in the history of sports. Browns fans and Lions fans can look down on them. Doesn't help that Denny Green isn't exactly a run-game guru at all.

It still comes down to: You let a proven pro-bowl back go so you could overpay a kicker that, btw, was hurt half the season.

Here's what's going to happen: If the Clots do manage to win a playoff game, they'll get destroyed by the Chargers or Ravens because they're vastly superior teams that can put up more points and hold teams to less points on a consistent basis against playoff teams.

^Exactly. The Colts defense, even with bob Sanders will get torn apart by any AFC Playoff team. The AFC is way superior than any of the NFC division winners, I honestly think that the only NFC teams that could hang with AFC Playoff contenders are the Saints and the Cowboys. If the Colts O gets shut down at any point (that means scoring less than 21 pts), they're screwed. Baltimore would slug those guys around, Larry Johnson would thrash them, hell even the newly-Jay Cutler-led Broncos would shread them. If you honestly think that Indianapolis's defense can hang with any of the AFC playoff teams, you are sadly mistaken.

I wouldn't count Joseph Addai the real deal yet, he'll be great, but I wouldn't mark him as God after he shredded a weak Eagles D. Addai in Arizona would get killed as Edge has been doing, (further proof that teams should build the O-line first). A Colt-like line in Arizona would make them automatically the pimp sh*t.

Colts might even squander this game against Tennessee coming up, they almost did last time.

Note this: If the Colts make the playoffs, and they face Baltimore or San Diego, they're done. They might get lucky and somehow play Denver, New England (fakes) or Jacksonville in the AFCCG.

Don't be dumb enough to put Addai in even the same boat as Edge.

^^You'll still lose in the playoffs. Probably to either San Diego or Baltimore, who will then go on to win the Super Bowl. -CSM

I prefer we lose more games in the regular season, it means we play for our lives and are able to go into the playoffs with momentum, rather than cold like last season.

Giants > Cowboys. Yes, we split the season, but if Strahan is in on Sunday's game, the Giants win this game.

All of those missed tackles the Giants had that game and oppurtunities they had would have been wrapped up if Strahan was in. Well maybe not all of them, but most. That's my belief anyway, there's really no way to tell, but people forget the G-Men have injuries like crazy. Once the whole team, excluding the 2 players that are out for the season come back, we'll be looking sharp again, unless that happens too late.

And yes, Romo did play a non-impressive game on Sunday, and the Cowboys are overrated. With what I said above even, I still think the Giants are propertly rated right now. They are busts, and need to cover injuries when they happen. Thats not to say they arent better than the cowboys though, Giants' defense will eat the cowboys up when they're healthy.

Colts O is great of course, but the run D is terrible, like everybody else has already said. They could win football games against good running backs with that defense, but they cant win football games against amazing running backs with that D. Thats essentially why if the Colts cross the Chargers playoff time, the chargers will roll over them. So right now Chargers > Colts.

As far as New Orleans goes, like I said a few weeks ago, I am impressed, but not convinced. If they win their next few and go into the playoffs with a solid record I will be. But right now they're 8-4. As of now they've beaten: Cleveland, Green Bay, ATL x2, Tampa Bay x2, Philly(Legitimate win, since Mcnabb was playing.), and San Fran. They beat one Legitimate team, and one very questionable team(ATL.) Like I said, they are playing decent, but I'm not convinced, and when I said that on the pickem they lost the next day, so I'm allowed to say it again. Let em proove me wrong.

As far as the actual topic of this thread, Addai is doing pretty decent as a rookie. Yet, he runs behind the same O line Edge did, and if he swapped places with Edge right now, I'm not so sure we'd see the same results in Addai. Good performances thus far, nonetheless.

Ok clots fans, I haven't watched nearly as many games this year since I've been going to the Superdome to watch good football, but the away and sunday night game gave me the opportunity to tune into the Clots Jags game.

What do I see? A quickly stalled drive, a punt that pins the Jags on their own 6, and then I saw one of the most disgusting defensive series I've ever witnessed.

Two plays: 75 run and a 21 yarder for a TD. Wow guys. Nice D. Enjoy another quickout.

Fire Dungy, then see what you can do.

Its enough to get me to switch to the Giants-Panthers tardfest. The Giants are disfunctional and have a lame-duck coach (Oooooh yeah, he's canned if they miss the playoffs, which I think they will) and the Panthers are yet again underachieving. The thing both squads have in common is a coach that's going to get canned if they miss the postseason.

Giants are making the post-season, and they'll be a force if they do. They can beat any one of those NFC teams if they play Giants football.

I don't know, you have two rough games before you get your end of the year cupcake. Garcia remembered he's a smart and accurate QB, so the Eagles ain't a joke, and the Saints are a team that can go out and exploit your garbage secondary and weakened line.

Next few weeks will tell though. Good luck (except when we stomp you in the Meadowlands).

All I know is I'm thanking the Saints right now for beating up on the cowboys thus far. I hope it continues.

IT'S TIME! (FOR A COMPARISON)

What do Philly, Washington, Dallas, Tennessee, Giants, Buffalo, Jets, New England have over the Clots? They didn't lose to the Texans.

The Clots join a class of underachievers like Miami, Jacksonville (2x), and Oakland as being one of five texan wins. They let Ron Dayne, you know, that Heisman bust that wouldn't drop weight and couldn't rush in 3 different cities demolish their pathetic defense.

Clots = first game out.

Lots of interesting scenarios this week. The Jets are now in control of the AFC Wild Card race, and the Eagles now control the NFC East race.

Everything a Gnat fan could ever want. I can't wait to see all my Gnat fan friends in tears. AND the headline of the Post and Daily News when the Jets go to the playoffs and the Gnats swallow another end of the year collapse.

Mangenius for coach of the year! -CSM

Too bad you'll be out first round too. But I guess it's all in bragging rights.

I'm not wanting my team to make the playoffs in fear of the asswhooping they'd more than likely be given by Philly a second time around.

Damn the colts D! I really hate Tony Dungy, he has no idea how to teach a team to tackle, We should get him out of there. not to mention, the last team to get rid of dungy, won the Super Bowl the year after. And the D Cordinater, im not even going to go into that. My point, give the Colts just about any other D in the league, you would have the best team in football. It's not Peyton's, Josephs, Marvin's, or Reggie's faults, it the Freaken D! the Colts played pretty good against the Texans, but the D couldn't do jack squat to stop the Texans.

You're joking right?
Dungy sucks? He's the reason Tampa Bay had its few glory years before they kicked him out. Theo nly reason Tampa won the superbowl the next year is because Brad Johnson is a way more efficient/effective QB than Rob J and Shaun King. What has Gruden done since? Been to the playoffs once and flopped his other years, granted those were due to QB injuries, his defense has fallen apart and the offense has yet to do anything impressive. It's not the coach's fault that his guys can't tackle, that's basic crap that you learn in the peewee league, so don't give me that "It's Dungy's fault".

It's time for him to get out of Indy, he needs to come to Atlanta and help us out. Since you guys don't appreciate him.
