Worst Manning

Who's your least favorite Manning? Mine's Eli, of course, but I personally dislike all of them, even Ricky Manning Jr, who's from a different family. -CSM

What the hell? Why do you hate them?

I mean, even though one's a choker and the other was overrated to begin with, what have they done to you?

No question, it's Eli. Peyton, even with the inability to win the big game, is a damn good QB. Archie got it done on a trash team. Ricky Manning Jr. is a good CB when he isn't beating up nerds in Denny's.

^ Actually, Colts do suck, they have no run D, therefore they'll be one and done. They might even lose to Miami.

I just don't think Eli should've been a top pick, his name was the main reason he was a first rounder, I mean the guy struggles with his mechanics! Hell, if I had Plaxico and Shockey to throw to, you could believe I would light it up.

I mean hell, the Giants might as well grab Schaubie.

I just don't like what they've done to the NFL. I know Eli has his defenders, but most of the players think what he did was very much Terrell Owens-ish. And most of the players includes some I really like on various teams. And as for Ricky Manning Jr, he's technically a Manning, even though he's a different one. -CSM

What Eli did was for his own good. Even the Chargers owner acknowledged that he just shouldn't have gone there, it was the Giants' fault that they gave so much up for him, and he's not producing.

Learning my ass, Leinart, Young, Rivers, Cutler, aren't struggling as bad as he is, and two of them don't even have major weapons.

Anyone for a QB contraversy in Miami, the Lemon-Pepper contraversy? Perfect.

The Giants problem right now goes to the coaching about 80%. As a coach, if a player isnt playing well(Eli) what do you do? You threaten his position, thats what. Make a change in quarterback for a quarter or so. And Coughlin is just way too soft. If guys know they'll play next week, will they be as concerned about playing a good game? And I'm glad we finally have a different offensive coordinator. The other one was god awful. Basically, the players poor effort is a lot of the problem, but coaches are the example, and their poor job is only an example to the players of how they should play.

I don't think the problem is that Coughlin is too soft (he's a disciplinarian hardass), but I do think there's a total failure on the coaching level. At some point down the line, Coughlin lost control and respect of his players. Hell, your season was borked the second Tiki said he was going to hang it up and ride into the sunset. Coughlin never reigned in the distractions and allowed an offense to simply not exist on a consistent basis. Granted, I saw quite a few plays where Plexico was reverting back to Plexiglass. He's not a good #1 receiver, but a damn fine #2 or slot. Eli is far too raw, and doesn't have the polish that his brother had. He does things that are just fundamentally wrong, and unlike Young his legs can't bail him out. Eli probably shouldn't have been thrown in as soon as he was, and really should have been holding the clipboard behind a different QB (Not Warner).

Eli relies way, waaay too much on the Giants' biggest embarassment (Jeremy Shockey). You can see in Eli's face after a failed play that he wanted to throw to Shockey. -CSM

Yes, you did to Plaxico what we did to Peerless Price, took a guy who was talented because of everyone around him (not saying he wasn't, but it was just that other talents brought him out more). Coughlin just in some place failed to get control back, and I really think it started that game in Jacksonville, when the Jags destroyed Eli, from then his confidence had really just been shot.

Eli's problems he really can't have anyone solve but him, it was really stuff that you have to get playtime or practice time to fix, IMO though, the Giants set too high goals for him, he's just not the numbers producer that QBs like Peyton, Drew, Donovan and Carson are.

And once Tiki is out, y'all are in trouble, better bring in someone to threaten Eli's spot (AHEMSCHAUBIE).
