Granted, with the way Ohio teams have choked off when it counts (pulling a Dirk) in the last few years, I can understand why. Though the Cavs getting swept in the Finals last season was far more embarressing. Actually, now that I think about it, the football losses were far more embarressing for the state of Ohio. They were "so good" and got handled like a September cupcake team. Last edited by Lurch1982; 01-14-2008 at 12:36 PM. Reason: Actually... |

Wasn't Ohio State's fault that nobody else couldn't lose less than two games. If Ohio State, who was in a "rebuilding year", and picked to finish 3rd or 4th in the conference by most media outlets is considered being a chokejob because they committed a comedy of errors in a game they woulda/coulda won against a "superior" opponent, you must consider pretty much every runner-up ever a "choke". I don't recall anyone ever saying Ohio State was "so good". They caught **** all year because they got unlucky with the timing of their schedule, and that the Big Ten was in a down year, yadda yadda. (Seriously, how do you get mad at LT for not coming back, then you taunt the fans after BILLY VOLEK successfully leads your team down field?) |

Picked them to win every playoff game, and I knew that even if the Giants lost, the boys wouldnt go to the superbowl. Like I was telling people before, the cowboys haven't been playing good as of late. And if the Bills and Lions hadn't choked in the regular season, Packers would have won homefield like they should have. |

Penalties and dropped passes is what did them in. That one to Patrick Crayton that was carelessly flopped around would've been an easy touchdown. It's amazing the Giants have lost only ONE road game this entire season, but I really don't think they can win at Lambeau Field against the explosive Packers. But we'll see. Rivers is questionable against the Patriots next week, and if he's gone then it'll be on the hands of Volek. And he wouldn't stand a chance to keep up with New England's offense (hell, Randy Moss only caught ONE pass the entire game against the Jaguars, and they were still pretty stellar). Even with Rivers though, Chargers will still have to play one helluva game. |

If Tennessee had the same defense and running game when he was filling in for Steve Mc (hell, with Steve Mc), they would have been a powerful force. |
