Instead, we're trying to find some "face of the franchise" BS by drafting a QB we REALLY don't need. Redman showed he's perfectly capable of leading this team if they give him their support. Barring them running Joe Horn all the way out of town, he'll have a decent WR core in Horn, White and Robinson (future beast) and has a beastly backfield containing Norwood and Turner. We already fixed the offensive problem: benching Joey. Now we need to fix the defensive problem. |

You guys really need a WR that doesn't have boughts of brickhands and a line. Maybe another RB. I would have gone with a defensive player (like Dorsey) over the best QB in a weak QB class. You figure the Falcons are a 2 or 3 year project regardless of what they pick, so you might as well wait for a good QB to pop up in the draft next year, take one of the other QBs late (like the guy from Michigan or Booty from USC if they drop to the 2nd or 3rd). Granted, Atlanta is a mess on and off the field (from a PR perspective anyway). Blenk might be trying to just force Vick out of people's head. Saints trading up to get Ellis is a good move, but I'd rather them trade out for Shockey. OT Long getting that much money is insane. McFadden is a good fit on the Raiders, but they'll still suck since they have no defense, no line, and no recievers. And Jamarcus Russel has no experience. Talk to you tomorrow then? |

And the offense is what we need to pay most of the attention to. I'm happy we got a good QB, because I sure as hell don't want that choker Boller passing every freakin' game. Flacco's going to need to gain the Raven's trust that he can pass us back to the Bowl, however. Of course, we've never really trusted Boller, which is a good reason why we traded for Mcnair, and we went 13-3 in his first year with us. I'm expecting the same this year, not a failing effort like last year. Packers just traded their pick to the Jets. We'll have to see how that turns out. |

Vernon Goldsten (or however his last name is spelled) was once my arch enemy. Now he's my ally. Why did you do this to me God? -CSM |

Atlanta will be having thoughts about Vick until June 2009, that's a fact. Why waste that pick on a QB when O-Line has been your weak point since 2001? Why pick a QB when you have NO #1 CORNER? Atlanta isn't far away from turning this thing around, remember, Redman played better than most of the NFL's QBs in the month of December (his only 4 appearances) posting 10 TDs and 5 INTs (3 in one game IIRC) and almost bringing us back from an 18 point deficit. I think he'll be a good temporary fix, hell, he may even pull a Drew Brees and save his career before some punk comes in trying to steal it. We fixed the offensive problem: benching Joey. Permanently. Let's not cause more by brining in nth quarterbacks and just admitting how much of a slump we're in.

Two years in a row you saw nothing but the back of his jersey as he plowed through the number one draft pick (and often the rest of the line) like it was nothing. And now Henne and him are in the same division. Mwhaha.
