Hobart's coach, players, and fans are all very upset, particularly the players and recruits, who all came expecting to play D-1 opponents. Now the Hobart Board of Trustees SECRETLY and without ANY input from those who it would affect voted to drop Hobart's lacrosse down to D-3. -CSM |

You have NO IDEA how DEDICATED people are to this sport where I'm from. You may not care, but I do. And frankly lacrosse IS America's sport. America's Pastime, definitely not, but it is America's sport, what with it being one of the only sports that was actually invented on this continent before the white man moved in. -CSM |

Most people use IL and-or LaxPower's forums, which are very heavy with activity. Oh, and Hobart announced that they're reversing the decision after players, fans, parents, and alumni spoke out. -CSM |

Pingball gets put on ESPN 1. Lacrosse doesn't. Arguing that Lacrosse matters is insanely silly when it doesn't even get brief mentions on Sportscenter, in SI, or anywhere else but deep corners of sports sites. Arguing Lacrosse counts is like arguing polo counts. I'm sure people love it and are dedicated, but the vast majority of the country doesn't give a crap. | |

And they're increasing coverage because ratings are getting better. And honestly, saying Pingball matters more is like saying Omaha is more legit of a place than Philly, Baltimore, or Boston. And I didn't mean to offend you, but to say that nobody cares when most states in the Northeast have very sizeable lacrosse communities is being just as offensive, in a way. It's essentially saying the east coast doesn't matter when it comes to sports. -CSM |
