It isn't that its discounted because its from the Northeast. The Northeast produces many things people like (Maine Lobster, New England Clam Chowder, etc). People discount Lacrosse because its being played by 3rd to 5th tier athletes that couldn't make the football, baseball, basketball, hockey, or soccer team. It makes American soccer look like it contains the top best-of-class athletes. Pro lacrosse is the only league the WNBA can own.

ESPN broadcasts some NLL games.

The MLL is pretty cool though, I used to watch box lacrosse on ESPN2 all the time when I was younger and the league was called MILL.
