Caught some of the Croatia/Turkey game today inbetween basketball camp sessions. Sucked me in. I'll probably be following this more closely now.

I have to admit, some people got me stuck on this. Not sure if I'll make the finals because it's on a weekend and there's 1,000 grad parties this summer around here, but I'm def. cheering for Spain.

Germany's been playing like crap but are still ridiculously deep, and like hell I'm picking Spain to win a major anything. Plus Germany was my pretournament pick.

Germany 2-1 Spain

18' Klose
44' Fabregas
55' Podolski

Yea, one of my friends is really into it and I ended up watching most of the tourney. Besides this past World cup a couple years ago I had watched very little to no soccer previous to to this tournament. May start watching more often.

Go to England and tell them it's spelled "futbol" and they'll surely tar and feather you.

No we certainly will not. As a nation, US Brits are kind/caring people and extremely civilized!!!

Please don't believe everything you read about us Anglo-Saxons being football hooligans, because it's not true... But your right Bomby, It Is pronounced as football on my turf.

But you don't speak in Spanish here.

And by your logic you would call it Calcio as well, since you're such a big fan of Serie A.
