Official NBA Draft discussion topic.

Hoo boy. Someone forgot to make this.

I still think OJ Mayo is overrated, scandal or no scandal.

Kevin Love is overrated, too. He's not as overrated as Mayo, but I think Russel Westbrook is better.

Discuss the draft overall and your team.

As a Knick man, I'm PRAYING that D'Antoni doesn't screw up and pick Gallinari. I want Westbrook or Bayless. Because I don't want D'Antoni to become a Larry Brown or an Isiah. -CSM

What about Beasely? Overrated, underrated, or worth the money?

Most of the people they talk a lot about are overrated, so he probably is.

I don't really care about the NBA, to be honest. But this still is worth talking about.

Nobody posts here anymore because nobody cared enough to continue discussion in the NBA/NHL playoffs, or Baseball, or anything else. Except Lacrosse. We have buckets of that crap.

Wrong on Mayo. He's better on the long haul than Rose and Beasley.

Bulls took a guy they didn't need and passed on Beasley, a guy they did need. Heat didn't need Beasley as much as they needed either Rose or Mayo.

Westbrook to Seattle is interesting, though you have lineup issues with Durant (I guess shift Durant to 2). He might have went too high, but he was a workout camp freak. Wasn't even the best guard on his own team (Collison), but he impressed me when Collison went down and impressed me through the 2nd half of the season.

Love to Memphis works. Gives them the opportunity to have a Gay-Love combo. I would have rather seen Love spend another year in college, but I guess he'll have to develop in the NBA. Probably should have went with Lopez from Stanford instead.

Italian guy to the Knicks may work out, but the NY press and fans won't let it. I thought he was picked a little too high for it (could have traded down) and there are some serious questions since that hack Dantoni was his dad's roommate. Say what you want about Zeke, he could at least draft when he had picks.

^That's why I'm pissed.

And we don't know if D'Antoni's a hack yet. Give him 3 games and we'll declare him a bust if he loses just one (that's how we work in the city). -CSM

Uh, Phoenix told me enough. He lost control of the team, never adjusted, ran off Marion and Johnson, and completely blew past the team's window. That team was stacked to the point where it should have been in the Finals at some point. Now he's been sent to basketball hell; the same place that actually thought they could beat Jordan (and failed miserably every time) and the same place that routinely ruins coachs and players through the perversive press coverage and sheer amount of hatred.

That's my point. He failed miserably and crashed/burned in a hands-off media market with 0 expectations. I would have brought in Van Gundy instead. Not the one that looks like Ron Jeremy, the one that looks like Ted from Scrubs.

I disagree. I think it's always better to draft a player which you know what position they're going to play(Rose), rather than somebody you don't know(Beasley). Beasley is only 6'7, he can't competitively guard any 4's at that height. He needs to at least bulk up to play the 4. Besides, the Bulls are trying to get rid of Heinrich before the beginning of next season, so that would open up the PG spot for Rose anyway.
