I'll be doing this every week, so please, discuss in here and get this going. Trying to get this forum more active besides the pick em. So, a tough decision..do you guys think the Colts should bench their starters? Or should they go for the record? Personally, I would bench my starters and suck up my pride. Not all of them obviously, but some of the better players. The superbowl is the ultimate goal here. [ December 06, 2005, 03:49 PM: Message edited by: Pious Augustus ] |

Obviously, unless Denver and Jacksonville slack off, Colts are going to be playing their games seriously through Week 14. For those last two, Ipersonall would not bench them for all of the game. You have a bye-week, don't sit them down for 3 weeks and expect them to come out firing, they gotta see some game time within the last two weeks of the regular season. Let the starters get ahead, Seattle won't be too dificult for Indy to handle (shoe-in for the XL champs if they don't just have a complete downfall), and all they have to do against Arizona is put up 24+ points and Kurt Warner will be in trouble. |

Rest the starters the moment you clinch homefield, especially against a hardhitting Seattle D. I don't even think it will get to that point to be honest. Chargers and Jaguars still present huge threats against the Colts. Bush = Heisman. No contest. |

Obviously, play Manning to start to keep the consecutive starts streak going. Then take him out after the first series. An undefeated season would only be an added bonus, that's all I see it as, not the team's priority. |
