Houston- Reggie Bush RB from USC This guy is the best RB and could maybe help the Texans but they already have Davis. I don't think Bush will be staying in Texas long. New Orleans- I am looking for a Defensive player for New Orleans, either Mario Williams (N.C. State) or A.J. Hawk (Ohio State) Tennessee- D'Brickashaw Ferguson (According to ESPN) I really don't watch this team much. New York Jets- Matt Leinart, this guy can really help the Jets. I don't know if he is quite ready for the NFL. But he will be. Green Bay- (this really matters on Brett Farve) But they need some D. So I am if A.J. Hawk isn't taken. He will be a Packer. I don't think they will get another QB if Farve quits you have to be looking at Vince Young. |

New Orleans top look has to be AJ Hawk right now. Fergeson would be a good addition, but Hawk looks to be the best player in the draft and its the perfect fit to New Orleans' prime need. Tennessee is grabbing a QB. Leinhardt. Chow wants his boy again. If he's not there because of a trade, they'll get Vince Young/Cutler NYJ are also getting a QB, from the same trio. Packers would be retarded to draft a QB in any circumstances. They need help on either line. Biggest question is what New Orleans does with the pick. Consensus is they aren't going to draft a QB, so they could concievably swap picks with a lower team to drop down a few spots. However, they are the Saints and always run the risk of Saintsing the pick by doing something retarded like drafting a D-lineman again. Hawk and Fergeson (in that order) should be their priorities. Depending what New Orleans does changes the draft. |

Texans choose Mario Williams. 5. Pack get Bush. One-year deal for Green shows uncertainty at halfback. If Bush is available here, they can't pass up on him. This would leave A.J. Hawk for the Niners if they want him, which they should. They need a high-quality rookie there to replace Julian Peterson. Thinking the Packers will draft Vince Young is completely insane. Have we forgotten about Aaron Rodgers so soon? Last edited by DK; 04-03-2006 at 10:29 PM. |

The thing about Houston drafting Bush is this...Bush is an incredibly special back. He's been given comparisons to guys like Barry Sanders. I'm not sure the Texans can pass on him. They might take him and perhaps trade Davis. What I heard was that Houston was committed to taking Bush. |

Bush is a good back. You're forgetting the option to run a splitback set with Carr under center and Bush and Davis in the backfield. I don't see the Titans getting anyone but Leinhardt at this point. Offensive Coordinator Chow was Leinhardt's O-coordinator at USC. The only way they don't get him is if the Jets or some other team trades up. If the Jets trade up, they go with Leinhardt. If they keep their pick, Cutler. If they don't go with Leinhardt, Tennesee is going to be torn between Young (could be another McNair) or Cutler (Vandy alumn). Bush won't drop low enough to fall into the Packers lineup. If he drops to number 2, New Orleans will grab him (McAllister is coming off a blown knee). If they don't, Tennesee will (Travis Henry? Bush is a supreme upgrade). If they don't, the Jets will because who knows how much longer Martin can keep going. Vince's draft stock is plummetting. Not working out at the combine hurt him. He looks fat. He didn't take a timed 40, so the unofficial scout times have a .5 second variation, which is huge. His throwing motion is extremely awkward, and there was questions on how well his throws would be with pressure coming towards him. Young ultimately should have stayed his last year in college. He wasn't done yet. Sure, he single-handedly won the Rose Bowl...against a suspect USC defense. Leinhardt, OTOH, has lost like ONE game his entire college career. During that, he put up disgusting numbers and his last game was a skunkout of the mighty Longhorns defense (lets face it, the Rose Bowl had no D whatsoever). Leinhardt seems to have a better head on his shoulders and doesn't seem like the type that will shatter in the pros (especially since he didn't go out last year and land on that bottomfeeding squad of chumps known as the 49ers, the teams likely to draft him are teams that will rebuild quickly). I still don't think AJ hawk will slide past New Orleans. New Orleans' biggest need on D has always been at the linebacker spot, and he just looks like the best player in the draft. |

I seriously hope the Jets take Vince Young. He'd fit in a West Coast well. -CSM | |

Three year starter (behind Carson "I made the Bengals good" Palmer in year one). Year I (12-1) 63.4% passer, 3556 Yards, 38 TD, 9 Int Year II (13-0) 65.3% passer, 3322 Yards, 33 TD, 6 Int Year III (12-1) 65.7% passer, 3815 Yards, 28 TD, 8 Int, 6 Rushing TDs Wow. Someone with a career 37-2 record is average. someone who put up 10000+ yards in 3 years is average. Someone who's TD-INT ratio is insane is average. Yeah that makes sense. Lets compare him to Vince Young, who you seem to think is going to go earlier in the draft. Year I (10-3) 58.7% Passer, 1155 Yards, 6 TDs, 7 Ints (Rushing: 998 yards, 7.4 avg, 11 TDs) Year II (11-1) 59.2% Passer, 1849 Yards, 12 TDs, 11 Ints (Rushing: 1079 Yards, 6.5 avg, 14 TDs) Year III (13-0) 65.2% Passer, 3036 Yards, 26 TDs, 10 Ints (Rushing: 1050 Yards, 6.8 avg, 12 TDs) Yeah, Vince Young's going to translate REEEEAAAAL well into the pro game. He only started to make good decisions this past season, when the Little 12 was on a decidedly down stretch. Young's legs aren't going to be his main weapon in the pros. If it is, he'll be a mediocre QB. If anything, he's more of an unrefined, raw Culpepper. Simply put, he makes bad pass reads, and his motion and mechanics are sloppy. Leinart OTOH has scored on every defense in college football and has all but put up better numbers than Peyton Manning. Say what you want, Leinart has a QB's eye and makes good reads. The kid is clutch and has only lost twice in his career with a bullseye on his chest. Look at the Notre Dame game. Wah wah Bush pushed him. It doesn't matter, he dropped a bomb downfield to get them in that position to begin with. |

The thing about Young, is that in college, he won games with his legs rather than his arm (Rose Bowl anyone?). In the NFL, he won't be so effective. In fact, I wouldn't be suprised if he was injured in his first year as a starter. Defensive coaches thrive off young QBs. His inexperince AND tendency to scramble will ultimately lead to one hit too many. |

Throwing on the run > throwing in the pocket. Vince Young doesn't just use his legs. He uses both his legs AND arms. Quarterbacks like that, in my opinion, make the best. -CSM |
