Favorite Sports To Play

What's your favorite sport to play and why?

What's your favorite position to play for that sport?

Do you play on any teams for that sport?

Do you play on any teams for other sports?

Have you?

To answer the first one, my favorite is football, the American one, with two o's. I just like the intensity of the games, and mental prep you have to have to play QB and direct the whole O-unit.

I played highschool, I only started a total of 17 games all of highschool, and I'm probably going to drop it this season even though I have a good shot at starting, let's just say, when no one's open, I take off, and that's led to a lot of beatings.

I don't play on any other sports teams, but I played basketball a loooong time ago, when I was about 8, heh.

Your turn.

There are plenty of sports that don't have teams or positions, Andre

To answer your question: I liked to play football (the soccer kind, also with two o's). but only with my brothers and other kids in my neighbourhood who did not play at a football club. I liked to play for fun, and we ususally played 2 on 2 or 3 on 3, or something. But when I had to play it at school, I never liked, because I'm just not very good and that would piss everyone else on my team off. That goes for all teamsports, btw.

My favourite sport to play and one which I am quite good at is pool. I've never played leagues or tournaments, but I play quite often against my friends. I also really like snooker. I prefer the rules to the rules of pool, but it's a lot more difficult to pot a ball.

I know that, but since there are some with positions, I put positions so that anyone that wanted to state they played any could.

My bad if I'm just trying to livin' up activity in a dead forum.

And I forgot about Pool, I like goin' down to the bowling lanes to play pool against my friends there.

Skiing, if that counts. Otherwise probably Lacrosse. It's a beautiful game that not many people know about yet. -CSM

What's your favorite sport to play and why?
Ping pong and football (soccer). Cause they're fun and I get fired up when I play.

What's your favorite position to play for that sport?
Defense for football (soccer).

Do you play on any teams for that sport?
Not anymore, had to choose between that or marching band (bad choice).

Do you play on any teams for other sports?
Tennis.

It pretty much is and has been for a while, with the exception of the World Cup, the only activity this forum sees is the pick em game.

And CSM, I never knew about LaCrosse until I moved to Tennessee, and I've started to watch it. Pretty interesting sport, not my type though.

I forgot about skiing, I also really like that, even though I've only been on three skiing trips so far.

Since April, there has been a major sporting event that I have followed closely. I created topics about two of them (snooker World Championship and Roland Garros) and NinNut created one about the World Cup. The other event was the Giro d'Italia (cycling), but I figured no one here was interested in that. I will make a topic for the Tour de France when this year, though, which is the next major sporting event I will follow after the World Cup. I may also make a Wimbledon topic, but that will be overshadowed by the world cup this year, I feel.

My point is, there is plenty of activity in this forum (also the Winter Olympics topic), but you don't post in the topics that are active (obviously because you're not interested in those sports).

Oh I know they're active, I read through the World Cup thread occassionally. I'm just trying to add more to the forum. You can't possibly be telling me that this is a regularly active forum.

Cycling would be a pretty active topic, I know most people here would be interested in that.

What's your favorite sport to play and why?

Most definitely soccer. Played it all my life.

What's your favorite position to play for that sport?

I like midfield, being able to run wherever and be the playmaker. For big games, though, I am the Cagemaster. mwahaha. Keeper, that is.

Do you play on any teams for that sport?

Year-round stuff. That means high school (spring), rec (fall/spring), adult league (summer/winter), indoor (winter), and select (fall/spring).

Do you play on any teams for other sports?

I played with the local rec basketball league for a while...

What's your favorite sport to play and why?

Basketball, although volleyball is a close second.

What's your favorite position to play for that sport?

I play guard for basketball, and defensive specialist for volleyball, although I can be a setter as well.

Do you play on any teams for that sport?

I did play varsity for both, but not anymore.

Do you play on any teams for other sports?

Nope, not really.

Thumbs up

What's your favorite sport to play and why?

That's a difficult one, it's between proper football and cricket. I'd have to say football because I'm quite good at it and have played it for longer.

What's your favorite position to play for that sport?

Left-back. That's, uh, left side of the defense.

Do you play on any teams for that sport?

No. I don't enjoy playing competitively in any sports. I much prefer to enjoy playing rather than feel under pressure from teammates.

Do you play on any teams for other sports?

No, I was thinking of trying to get into the school cricket team. Decided not to in the end.

Have you?

I captained the school football team for one game when I was 11. We won 2-1.

What's your favorite sport to play and why?

-Basketball and Football. I love to play those 2 so much that whenever there's games going on I get excited and have to play regardless of how tired I am/my obligations. It's just so seldom we actually have people to do that stuff with up here.

What's your favorite position to play for that sport?

-Basketball: Guard, Football: Running Back

Do you play on any teams for that sport?

-Been trying to make high school basketball, failure so far.

Do you play on any teams for other sports?

-No.

Have you?

-Used to play all year around sports. Football in the fall, Basketball in the winter, Baseball in the spring, then Basketball in the summer. I miss it, but when you get older there's less oppurtunities to play and less leagues and things.

Basketball. Even though I'm short I can dominate people twice my size. Seriously.

As much as I hate to admit it... I love playing tennis, too.

I've always wanted to do some form of martial arts but my kidney condition has stopped me from playing any contact sports.

But martial arts are arts, though, so technically it would be a contact art.
