So in 08, there is going to be a new professional football league emerging. It will run like the XFL (as far as franchises go), but with the same rules as the NFL (pretty much). It requires a 4-year degree, and its stadiums will be of the colleges that host the teams. This league seems to have a serious backing by many university officialls, and will pay 100K per season. It can also be used as a stepping stone into the NFL or AFL, whichever you choose.

I like this, mainly because I know my chances in a newer league (come 2011, in which this will be entering year III) will be better than a jump into the NFL. (Mainly cause I'd be picked to pieces by scouts: "small hands", "Short", "lack of significant arm strength" you get the picture).

Thoughts?

The NFL sucks enough already. We don't need another. College football is the only football really worth watching. -CSM

NFL sucks?

Maybe to the whiny college fans that find a way to bash the NFL at any way possible. Anyone that honestly thinks that all 98% of the NFL's players only care about the check needs to shut up.

Sure you've got TO, and few other players, but tell me:
Would you put your body on the line day after day, year after year, if you don't really love the game? I mean, seriously, most of the people playing professional football, LOVE THE GAME, that's why they play it.

Holy crap, stop this "NFL suxxors" crap, it's the best of what college has to offer, just less teams.
AAFL will be just as great, if it doesn't pull an XFL/USFL and tank by its third season, including the fact that it will weed out those few that are in it for only money. (Fixed salary of 100K/year).

It's stickied because it's a new league forming, which I thought was news-worthy, so I posted.

Everyone has their own opinoins I guess, but I've never been able to get into college, but whenver I watch it, I'm never really as into it as I am with an NFL game.

So it distraughts you that much that I've stickied this? Yeah, I've missed a couple of things I should've sticked (Melo suspension comes to mind, but there are many others), but for you to complain about me stickying this is just as dumb. How about we don't worry what I stickied? And we just leave this conversation at that, I stickied this because I thought it deserved to be, I have the power to do so, and I'm using it in a positive way.
