NASCAR is definitely a real sport, I just don't care to watch it.

Le Mans, now. That is more my kind of car-racing.

Or 70's NASCAR cars. They slip and slide and crash like nobody's business.

I also sorta like golf, though I find it strange it's on television so much.

I'm just shocked I don't have to be the one defending NASCAR for once.

I have to agree with Lurch on this one...coming form the Northeast, Lacrosse is very much a niche sport that is really popular in my area of the country but outside of that nobody really cares nor understands it. Heck, the only reason I ever cared about it was cause a couple of my friends used to play it.

Considering I was the mod here before Dre, dont see how anybody else could have been previously running this forum..

Never really cared much or understood Lacrosse but I had respect for it. It just seems so easy to score goals to me, but maybe thats because I haven't actually played it, ever.

NBA Ball to me is more interesting now than ever. Much rather watch that.

I'm sort of suprised at all the vitriol being directed toward lacrosse, specifically as to its overall legitimacy as a sport. It doesn't get the national attention of many other sports with a wider national fanbase, but that does not mean it isn't a sport. Whether or not a sport is covered by network television and/or mainstream media does not determine the legitimacy of said sport. Lacrosse players are unquestionably athletes, and to consider it not a "real sport" because people outside the I-95 corridor from Virginia to Boston don't watch is asinine logic. It may be a niche sport, but it is certainly a real sport as well.

I'm not saying that everyone should watch and enjoy lacrosse; of course, everyone has their own tastes in terms of sporting events and is wont to like whatever they please. That said, dismissing lacrosse on an athletic level because Jim Nantz doesn't announce and FOX doesn't have absurd BallTracker technology (cf. FoxTrax) is a bit much.

And just because a sport is popular in the Northeast doesn't mean you should discount it. No one discounts sports that are popular in the South, Midwest, and on the West Coast, so the only conclusion I can draw from this is people think the Northeast isn't part of America, sadly, and more and more I suspect that people believe this lie. -CSM

Meh, I just mess with people for the fun of it, and lulz @ FoxTrax and their random statistics they put up during NFL games.

That's cause Southern people just keep to ourselves since everyone thinks we're all tards anyway . You would think that NE would have the most power because, well, New York thinks they're better than everyone .

Speaking of which, I got very irked in Illinois when some chick just gave me a glare because I asked for "Sweet Tea"

^My mum asks for sweet tea a lot, and she's a Jersey girl.

Fox is the worst thing to happen to sports since John Madden.

Oh, and Syracuse won BTW. -CSM

Don't hate on John Madden, his senile moments make for comedy genius.

I forgot that I watch AFL heh, Georgia Force shat on the Voodoo tonight.

I'm an AFC guy, so I'll take those two from CBS. The only other team I enjoy listening to is Kenny, Moose, and the Goose on FOX. Everyone else is somewhere between "eh" and "woof".
