Player gets neck slashed during hockey game

Florida Panthers, Richard Zednik, National Hockey League - CBSSports.com

Wow. He's lucky to still be alive. Here's hoping that he recovers soon.

That was the first thing that flashed through my mind when I saw it on Sportscenter last night.

Ironic that it was against the Sabres too. It's like, if anyone's going to have their neck slashed in this league, it's going to be in Buffalo, dammit!

If I were a professional athlete, I'd rather not play any more games in Buffalo this year. First you have Kevin Everett, now you have Richard Zednik, when does it end?

Ouch, that looks pretty horrible.

You know, it never came into my mind that in Hockey, with all the skates, things like that might happen. How silly of me to not think of that.
