This is why getting Johan was such a big deal. They'll be fine. Even if they do get in a hole, he's only slated to be out for 4-6 weeks. Mets fans know better than anyone that no division lead is ever safe.

Ollie looks sort of like Pedro in the way he pitches, the way he has control of his breaking ball like that. I consider Ollie to be a Pedro-lite of sorts. -CSM

The Mets weren't a lock even with Santana. They showed last year that their lineup is old and brittle and breaks down over the course of a season. If not the Pedro injuries, the injuries to like 8 starters over Spring Training should have been a concern. You should be more concerned about your outfield's health and Delgado. And if Reyes will pull another chokejob in the playoff stretch in September.

That being said: throwing your season away one series into it in April is freaking retarded. The Mets were a chokejob away from running away with the division last year minus Pedro.
