I know you like to rail on me for liking lacrosse, but I like it and the NC is here

So who do you think will win (I was an idiot and forgot to post a poll).

Syracuse and UVA play tomorrow afternoon (ESPN2), followed by Hopkins and Duke (ESPN). The winners play on Monday.

I hope Cuse wins and shuts Duke up. -CSM

To be honest, I've tried to watch lacrosse before, and I still don't really understand it. What's to stop a team from getting one goal, and then simply holding onto it for the rest of the game? Is there a shot clock?

Go Hopkins I guess.-jay

^There's no shot clock. Instead, they have a rule where you can't hold the ball outside the restraining box for more than 10 seconds, and it's very easy to lose the ball inside the restraining box because that's where defenders play very close. And most teams will never be satisfied with a 1 goal lead. Also, there's a rule where at the 2 minute warning of each half, the team with the lead has to keep the ball inside the restraining box PERMANELTY. This has changed the outcome of games. -CSM

World still does not care, especially when you're going against the NBA, regular season MLB, the Indy 500, Stanley Cup Finals on whatever godawful channel it winds up on, the Coca-Cola 500, NCAA pingball tournies, Minor League baseball, Little league baseball and beer league softball at your local playground, the frat football game in the park next to the frisbee golf course, etc.....

Have you ever watched a Football/Baseball/Soccer/Basketball/Hockey/Lacrosse game in your LIFE?

All NASCRAP drivers do is go around in circles. There aren't even any teams, it's just a driver, and a bunch of people who refuel his car or get him a new tire when he needs one. In NASCAR, the only team is the driver and his brain, nothing else.

Oh, and NASCAR (As well as other "Racing sports") aren't even sports. Those who participate in them waste no energy whatsoever, they just waste some time away.

Also, don't call anyone names like "Clod". You'll regret it deeply, escpecially in this forum.

Don't put niche sports like Lacrosse on the same level as real sports that people care about.

Wow, way to be a total ignoramus and use a terrible cliche crazyswordsman nickname to boot. Clearly you've done absolutely no research at all and know nothing about what you are talking about. Jackmen, crew chiefs, gasmen, spotters, tire changers, etc play just as an important role (if not more) than the driver himself since everything they do needs to be perfect, otherwise the driver can lose several positions even if they delay by a millisecond. The driver is almost entirely dependent on his crew, and in fact most drivers often make sure to thank the crew and acknowledge them no matter where they finish. What would a driver do without a spotter to help him avoid a wreck? Or a jackman to change his tire? a crew chief to assist with pit strategy?

Fact of the matter is you wouldn't last ten seconds (which is ages in auto racing) because you're an ignorant doofus

Let's see you drive in a car that can heat up to like 200 degrees and see how much energy you don't waste. Not to mention the fact they have countless practices, time trials, and prob spend more time on their craft than anyone in any other sport. More like you wasted your time with this post because I'm blasting it to Pluto

"Clod" is far too nice an insult for you. Considering I used to basically run this forum I'm not exactly worried about regretting anything if everyone else is even remotely as stupid/ignorant as you are.

Nascar is the only racing leaguethat sucks. Things like F-1 and drag I have no problem with (or anything that has a varied course and doesn't use leaded fuel). Even the Indy 500 is legit. And once the NHL starts being aired regularly (ie 2 games a week on ESPN or ESPN2) I'll stop this beef.

Also, this guy seems like a troll considering his post in another topic praised a troll, so ignore him guys.

I wouldn't put Lax on the level of these other sports yet, but don't count it as obscure because it does have a large fanbase. 48K tickets sold to the championships don't lie, and from what I hear attendance at regular season lacrosse games is about the same as attendance at PINGball games.

And you guys missed some GREAT games today. Syracuse rallied from a 5 goal deficit in the third quarter to win in double overtime against UVA, and Hopkins beat the very heavily favored Duke in a close one. The title game is on Monday and I'd like it if you at least try watching it. Those who get into it can't stop watching. -CSM

Great idea ignore the guy who uses logic, and continue to be ignorant/biased in your opinions, get a brain

at least you have a little sensibility in that you're just not a fan of NASCAR instead of bagging racing as a whole with no plausible logic gj

also a suggestion for improving your posting style please never use one of your gay nicknames again and you'll be one step closer to becoming a half decent poster thanks

I don't like Nascar because it's boring to watch unless somebody crashes.

^ Which doesn't happen much. Still happens though. It's also cool when (Albeit rarely) one driver attacks another one.

Alright, that almost never happens in NASCAR, but I've seen it happen.

This is why I like lacrosse and hockey because you get to see big clock hits or fights way more often and they're more entertaining. If you were lucky to catch one of the Rangers-Devils NHL games you'll see what I mean. And if you watched the lacrosse yesterday you saw some VERY nasty hits. -CSM

The Pistons dynasty from the late 80s gave harder hits than Lacrosse players.

The Raven's defense gives harder hits than lacrosse players as well.

Hell, they give harder hits than most other teams/players in all sports.

Hockey hits can be much harder than football ones. The only difference between football and those sports is you can use your hands. Lurch, have you even seen a lacrosse game (question mark) -CSM

I've learned recently there's a lot more to NASCAR than just going in circles, a lot of physics and **** involved in that.

Never got into Lacrosse, never even heard of it until I moved to Tennessee back in 03/04.

NBA has began to bore me, luckily UAB revived any bit of me that was still a b-ball fan.

Football is still my ****, period. Falcons always, we wear the jerseys even if we never win a game.

Which is often.
