Rich Rodriguez to CSM: Get a life.

ESPN - Rich Rodriguez to harsh fans: 'Get a life'

Actually, UM fans have a point. This chump brought them into Charlie Weis territory.

I actually have a life, thank you very much. A full time job and no down time.

But what does he expect us to do, defend him and provide excuses for Michigan's record-setting season of suck?

I'm afraid R2 is going to be the next Greg Robinson ((now former) Syracuse coach who sucks more than Charlie Weis does)..... -CSM

He wants his 10 year extension like that Lardass in South Bend got.

R2 is way worse than Greg Robinson because he's losing at MICHIGAN. Easier to pull recruits, already stocked up (until he ran out players), and he's dealing with one of "winningest" teams in the NCAA.

^You have to remember that unlike "fans" of certain teams in South Bend who are hardly aware of their basketball team tearing sh*t up, I don't make excuses. If Michigan gives him an extension before he at least makes a bowl, I will try to get any Michigan alumni I know to stop sending donations. -CSM

I don't know if he'll make it to extension talks tbph. I could easily see him ****canned if they start off cold next year. Running ND into the ground is easy. The school isn't good enough to pull people into Nowhere, Indiana and there's only so far that "blahblah tradition" speech can get you when that bag-o-money from *insert major program* is "dropped" in your backyard. Running Michigan into the ground this quickly just borders on insane.

This is why running Lloyd of out town was just shortsighted and retarded.

"There's a whole lot bigger problems. Look at the economy."

We do look at the economy. People in Michigan know what's going on with the economy. We know that the former mayor of the largest city in Michigan cheated on his wife and spent a ****ton of money to cover it up. We know that European and Asian cars are being bought more than the ones made here. That's one of the reasons we watch sports. To escape from all the **** going on in the economy and such. This season has produced the most losses in Michigan's 129 year history. I could forgive the first couple losses; it's a new team. But when we're losing to teams like Toledo you better damn well expect some major criticism. Deal with it, RichRod. It could be worse. Look at the pro team half an hour away.

He may or may not have a point, but what's the sense in coming out and saying something stupid like that? A college football coach will almost always lose battles between him and the fans/alums...besides, he should've known what he was getting into. Personally I could care less about Michigan, but I think everyone is aware of how seriously they take football.

I'm speechless. I'm without speech.

Michigan may be a football school, but I'm a basketball man.

And..........the Michigan basketball team JUST BEAT #4 UCLA. I have nothing more to say than that. -CSM

People forget that RR had what? 4 wins his first year at WVU? The question is whether the boosters and alumni have the patience for him to get the recruits he needs and his system installed.

Regardless, I did my best to awaken the spirit of Woody Hayes tonight by jumping in Mirror Lake and won't mind beating RichRod's ass for the next few years. Go Bucks. The greatest rivalry in sports, records aside.

Expectations at WV are nowhere near Michigan. I think the damning thing for him was that the divorce from WV was messy in itself, scaring current players to transfer was bad, and he's managed to have one of the worst seasons in Michigan history. Even Weis (whom I think is a mediocre coach) managed to have some good "transitional" seasons with Ty's players. RR seems to have run Michigan into the dirt with his very presence. I'd give him 4 years. Unless they finish dead last. He should be instantly ****canned for that for the same reasons that any basketball coach at UNC should be automatically ****canned if they finish last in the ACC.
