Teams get rewarded for suckiness with draft picks! In other words, it allows teams to intentionally blow games so they can get high spots in the draft. -CSM |

In other words, no team is going to sacrifice pride for one player, that's just plain stupid. Houston didn't do it, Oakland didn't do it, Cincy didn't do it, and Detroit at least tried not to do it. This notion is nothing more than a hopeful wish that comes from optimistic fans that are just trying to find something positive out of a negative season. These guys are professionals, and they want to remain in the league, if anything the final games are an audition for next year. You think Seneca Wallace would just intentionally lose a game so that the Seahawks could bring in a new QB to succeed he and Hasselbeck? You think Ryan Fitzpatrick is going to throw the ball to the defense every play and risk never getting another job in the NFL? Remember when Reggie came out the draft? People wanted Houston to tank so that they could get him, they won (and still ended up #1) and passed on him. | |
