Black players may boycott Limbaugh-owned Rams

Black players won't play for Rush's Rams | Truth&Rumors | FanNation

Quote:
Mathias Kiwanuka loves his former defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, but the Giants' defensive end says he will never play for Spagnuolo's Rams if Rush Limbaugh purchases the team. Kiwanuka and the Jets' Bart Scott made it clear Thursday that they would never play for the Rams or any team owned by the controversial conservative radio host. "All I know is from the last comment I heard, he said in (President) Obama's America, white kids are getting beat up on the bus while black kids are chanting 'right on,'" Kiwanuka told The Daily News. "I mean, I don't want anything to do with a team that he has any part of. He can do whatever he wants, it is a free country. But if it goes through, I can tell you where I am not going to play."

I think because of this possibility along with Rush's previous controversial stint as an ESPN analyst that terminated due to....gasp, racism. Goodell would be absolutely dumb to allow this kind of potential PR disaster.

Yeah he would. He's allowed PR disasters like the Detroit Lions and Oakland Raiders to be disgraces.

^^I'm white and if I played I would boycott. Hell, I'd probably boycott the ENTIRE NFL if Rushbo owned even a single team. -CSM

But their owners aren't known to make racist comment after racist comment.

You lose "trust" from a demographic by doing that, a demographic that a majority of your players happen to be a part of. Not a smart move to let this happen.

I'm a hardcore conservative and even I would boycott Limbaugh if I were a Rams player.

They said they won't let him do it, thank God.

Meanwhile, Rush is doing what he always does in situations like this. -CSM

It can't be because you're racist.

It just can't.

That would make it a good reason.

He actually has a point. Even Rush knows he could be toxic to any sort of ownership group. Dude should have cleared it with the other owners and league before putting him on the bid.
