NFL 2010-2011 Thread

Football season is almost here. I guess I'll give a synopsis of how I think the season will play out, although I'm sure someone will debate with me.

AFC West:
This is still the Chargers division to lose, even without Vincent Jackson and their starting Left Tackle (I don't remember his name). I think Oakland will be a lot better with Jason Campbell at QB, but not enough to take the crown in the AFC West. The Chiefs should improve too, but not as much as Oakland. The Broncos are meh.

Predicted order of finish:
San Diego
Oakland
Denver
Kansas City

AFC South:
The Colts own this division and that's probably not going to change until Peyton Manning retires. I think the Texans will finally reach the playoffs this year, but Tennessee could slip in too. Jacksonville isn't going anywhere with a one man team. (MJD)

Predicted order of finish:
Indianapolis
Houston
Tennessee
Jacksonville

AFC North:
I don't think the Bengals will repeat what they did last year, especially with an improved Baltimore offense. They'll definitely have a shot at the wild card though, but it may be tough. The Steelers are heading downhill, and I dunno how helpful Byron Leftwich will be in the team's first 4 games. The Browns suck.

Predicted order of finish:
Baltimore
Cincinatti
Pittsburgh
Cleveland

AFC East:
This is pretty much a crapshoot. There are three teams here that could compete for the AFC East crown. I think the Jets will win it if they manage to get Revis a new contract, but without him they could be looking at a wild-card spot. New England should be all right this year. Miami will be vying for a wild card spot, aaaaand yeah, Buffalo, they suck. (Sorry, Auron)

Predicted order of finish:
NY Jets
New England
Miami
Buffalo

NFC West:
Arizona has lost too much to three-peat the division, so I think the 49ers will take the division. St. Louis needs a couple more years to rebuild. Seattle needs a new QB. Hasslebeck is old.

Predicted order of finish:
San Francisco
Arizona
Seattle
St. Louis

NFC South:

I think the Super Bowl Champions will take the division again, but it'll be close with Atlanta right on their tail. I don't think Matt Moore will get it done in Carolina, and the rushing game won't lead them back to the playoffs. Tampa Bay will be better this year.

Predicted Order of Finish:
New Orleans
Atlanta
Carolina
Tampa Bay

NFC North:
Brett Favre will not play as well as he did last year, but the Vikings will make the playoffs via wild card. I just think the Packers are better, as much as I hate to say it. Rodgers is superior right now for obvious reasons. (i.e. Brett Favre is old as dirt, Rodgers can run the ball, etc.) Cutler will throw 20+ INTs again this year in Mike Martz' offense and Detroit will maybe win 4-5 games.

Predicted order fo finish:
Green Bay
Minnesota
Chicago
Detroit

NFC East:
This is Dallas' division to lose. The Giants could be better this year. The Eagles will be okay with Kevin Kolb, but I don't think they make the playoffs this year, and McNabb will make Washington better, but not enough.

Predicted order of finish:
Dallas
NY Giants
Philadelphia
Washington

Playoffs:
AFC:
Wild Card Round
#3 Baltimore vs. #6: Houston
#4 San Diego vs. #5 New England

NFC:
Wild Card Round
#3: New Orleans vs. #6: Atlanta
#4: San Francisco vs. #5: Minnesota

AFC:
Divisonal Round:
#1: Indianapolis vs. #5: New England
#2: NY Jets vs. #3: Baltimore

NFC:
Divisonal Round:
#1: Green Bay vs #5: Minnesota
#2 Dallas vs. #3: New Orleans

AFC Championship Game:
#1: Indianapolis vs. #3: Baltimore

NFC Championsship Game:
#1: Green Bay vs. #2: Dallas

Super Bowl:
Green Bay vs. Baltimore

That was painful...haha

So yeah, comments, and yay, football.

The more they play, the more I like the way Green Bay looks.

Aaron Rogers > You

Wisconsin is going wild right now. Either from this football season or just cabin fever from the exorbitant amounts of snow.

I REALLY want to post that pic of Braylon, Holmes, and Cotchery but I want to wait until we're at least in the Super Bowl. -CSM

Exactly, its about time people stopped sleeping on us. If we get past the Steelers this Sunday, we're winning the Superbowl.

If the Bears beat the Packers, then they're going to get intercepted at least 5 times in the Super Bowl.

I don't like how the Pro Bowl is before the Super Bowl. What if a player from a Super Bowl team gets hurt in the Pro Bowl?

That's a change I was un-notified of, but it makes sense.

Also:
Quote:
Although Hawaii does not have a NFL team of its own, the Pro Bowl is still subject to the NFL's blackout policies, requiring the game to be blacked out within the state of Hawaii if it does not sell out all of its seats. This restriction was not in effect in Hawaii for the 2010 game, but was transferred to the Miami media market.
Only the NFL.
