Right now I'm more scared of Xavier and Marquette than of Carolina or Ohio State. -CSM

Just checked and SDSU has N Colorado in the 1st round, should be easy. Only teams I'm really worried about are UofA (I kinda want them to win because one of my friends from school got a BBall scholarship there), and UConn.

Typical Georgetown, typical.

And LMAO at Pittsburgh last night, I had Butler over them but I didn't think it could happen.

Also, SDSU headed to Sweet 16 , bad news : We got UConn haha.

I knew the Cuse would lose, but I didn't think Marquette would be the team to knock them out, there's never going to be another Melo for Syracuse

So who's left? Who am I to root for? All the teams I like are gone, and all the teams I hate are still alive.

So who should I root for? Convince me to change my mind. Here's a list of teams with reasonings why I should root for or against them:

East region:

1. Ohio State: No, they're in the Little Eleven.

4. Kentucky: No.

11. Marquette: They ousted my beloved Orange thanks to refs never calling fouls and Rick and Scoop not holding onto the damn ball and looking "Scoopid" all game, but alas, they're the only team left in the Big East I can trust to hold the conference banner (no, I will never root for UConn).

2. North Carolina: Not really. They're not Dook, but, still, they're one of those teams.

West Regional:

1. Duke: No.

5. Arizona: Not really. I still hold a grudge against them for being picked over the Cuse several years ago (not that the Cuse should've been in, but they had a better resume than Zona did). That, plus they were helped by Jim Burr against Texas and I hate Jim Burr.

3. UConn: No. I will never, ever, ever root for the [s]Huskies[/s] Fightin' Kemba Walkers as long as Calhoun coaches there. Even though I picked them to go to the title game, I'll still happily root against them.

2. San Diego State: Now here's a team I can respect. They beat BYU. That's quite enough for me to like them.

Southwest Region:

1. Kansas: Absolutely yes. As long as KU keeps winning, I can swell with pride that the state of Kansas is officially owned and operated by the Syracuse Orange.

12. Richmond: Yes. One of my favorite teams, I had them going this far. I'd like to see them go even farther.

11. VCU: I truly, truly love you all. Not only did they knock out Purdue (a Little Eleven team), but they even did me the favor of defeating Georgetown! How lovely would it be if you won!

10. Florida State: They're an ACC team not named Dook or North Carolina (and they're not Clemson either), so I don't mind, but then again I'd rather not.

Southeast Regional:

8. The Butt: Sure. I still don't like that they ousted Syracuse last year, but they took Dook to the wire in the title game and would've won had the refs see Kyle Singler grab Gordon Hayward's jersey.

4. Wisconsion: No, they're a Little Eleven team.

3. BYU: No. They're the most pretentious student body in the country, think they're holier than thou, plus I hate Jimmer as much as I hate Kemba Walker. Plus my friend who knows I'm a scrawny liberal Aspie Jew from NYC wants me to bow down to jocky conservative Christians from Utah.

2. Florida: No, because I can't stand Chandler Parsons.

I don't think the Wildcats will make it past Duke. They just survived a late-game rally by Memphis and got lucky with Texas. Duke will most likely have their way with them. I got a friend Angelo going there, next year if he starts I'll root for them.

I hope Florida eats BYU alive, I'm tired of the "OMG JIMMER FERDETTE!! LOLZ" going on, sure the kids got talent, plus I just naturally hate them due to my Aztecs.

My Aztecs got UConn next going to be a tough game but if we play like a team I know we can out last anyone in this tournament, I had a dream that SDSU upset Duke in the Elite 8, lets see if it can happen.

Most of my fellow SU fans are rooting for SDSU too. Here's one's reasoning:

Quote:
1) No non-Big East BCS school (eliminated: Duke, OSU, UNC, UK, AZ, KU, FSU, Wisc, Fla)
2) No UConn (eliminated: UConn)
3) No team that handed SU a devastating NCAA tourney loss (eliminated: Richmond, Butler, and I’ll add Marq)
4) No team that thinks premarital sex is inherently bad (eliminated: BYU)
That leaves SDSU and VCU, two teams that I have no problem looking for.

And Scoop's coming back next year. I think I want to find him, sit down with him, and convince him to clear his head. I think a course in Buddhist philosophy would do him some good. -CSM

^Hey, you got rid of one of the teams that had to go. Now you have an opportunity to do it again.

But next year, Christmas is coming early up here, so watch out. -CSM

You were saying? Welcome to the group.

Dook, The ****eyes and the Mormons are all gone, good. I'm rooting for Butler/Kentucky the rest of this tournament.

^As far as I'm concerned, Kentucky = Duke in my mind. As of right now I kinda want Kansas to win, mainly because I picked them to win in all my pools (UK has to bail in the Elite Eight if I want to stay alive in this one pool I'm in). And like I said before I can't have UConn winning because of Calhoun. Butler and VCU I'd both like to see win obviously, and UNC I'd like to see lose.

Oh, and ZG, I'm sorry about Zona. Look, the Kembas beat the Cuse earlier this year in a game that was probably just as poorly officiated (and in which we couldn't make a free throw). -CSM

It was rough. AZ didn't play as well as they should have, but we also did not get a lot of calls that we should have, too. In the end though, we shouldn't have tried for the three - they weren't falling all night, whereas we had 40 points in the paint. Should have gone with Williams DOWN LOW and hope for a 3 point play - UConn was fouling enough that it could have happened.

I have a friend going to UofA next year, I don't know if you've heard of him, Angelo Chol, he goes to my school and he set the sophmore national record for blocks. With him on your guys squad I think you guys will make the final four next year.

In the BET, I remember someone knocked C.J. Fair down and it should've been called a charge but it was a no-call. On the next possession, Scoop Jardine was driving and Kemba ran up into him nicked his shoulder, and then faked a fall and that was called a charge. Later in the game, Oriaki or Jeremy Lamb or someone swatted a ball away while it was still above the rim; that wasn't called. Then of course at the end of the game Scoop takes too many boneheaded shots (like Williams and Horne did tonight). It's too bad; I kinda liked Williams. He reminds me of Wes Johnson.

The only thing worse than UConn carrying the conference banner is Georgetown doing it. -CSM
