Have you tried any of the following (or would be willing to try): - Ice hockey? - Ice skating? - Skiing? - Snowboarding? - any others not listed? ~~~ I like lots of winter sports but we don't get a lot here. No snow, you see. Our winter sports are usually things we can play in the rain. That said, I have skated and skied (indoors only at this stage) and had a few goes down a hill in a sled!! I'm not too interested in trying out ice hockey... but I'm going to try snowboarding later this year!! ![]() |

It's very good for the legs and after you get down the mountain you feel like you accomplished something if you went through the steep bumps. I tried skating once and hated it; I broke my chin on the ice. I'd think you'd have quite a bit of snow in July or August in Perth, but then again the only place in the southern hemisphere I've been to is Buenos Aires so what do I know? -CSM |

It just doesn't snow here, so I'd have to do it somewhere else ![]() |

Gender: Posts: 15,896 Thanks: 1,130 Thanked 1,919 Times in 1,046 Posts | I've done some ice-skating - my family and I used to go all the time, but I wouldn't say I was ever very good. I've always wanted to go skiing/snowboarding, but living in Arizona really limits that... >_> |

And ice skating never interested me much but i can watch hokey but when im out and doing anything myself i do fairly well on skis not slalom though i can't jump to save my life. Though i have manage to do a good 1.5 Km skate a couple of years ago and the noble art of drive snowmobiles im very good at if i have to drive fast or it's difficult terain jumping not so much __________________ From where it counts: Lapland |
