Syracuse, Pitt Apply For ACC Membership According To Reports - Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician -As much as I want to stay in the Big East, I feel like it’s becoming too bloated, basketball-wise, and with us only having three home-and-homes every year is a little disheartening. And the main reason to stay in the Big East – a home-and-home with Georgetown – is no longer a given. -I’d rather join the ACC (which isn’t so much of a problem conference) than the Big Ten (which is). -Football I really could care less; actually I’m a bit worried considering the ACC has lowered in quality after BC, VT, and Miami left; only Virginia Tech hasn't disappointed. -Lacrosse will suffer. Not at Syracuse, but overall. Marquette started its program because the Big East started sponsoring it. In fact, if anything lax will become even more unbalanced. -One thing I would be REALLY pissed about is losing the Big East tournament in MSG. I don’t want to have to play early morning games in North Carolina; I want to play under the lights in the big city. -At least someone will be able to challenge the likes of Dook and UNC (and sometimes Maryland!) every year in the ACC. -CSM |
