Big East - The Big East is going to turn from a deep as hell conference into a conference that is very top heavy. Syracuse, UConn, Pitt, and Louisville will all be competing for the conference title (and the NC as well), and Marquette is no slouch this year. I'm going to go homer and pick the Cuse because of the improvement that they've shown so far this year.....so far. Cincy will get a bid, too. ACC - Until Syracuse and Pitt liberate the Tobacco Road Empire, it's going to be a showdown between Dook and UNC. I wish I could pick another team, but outside Florida State no other team looks like they can squeak by. The ACC is always the most top-heavy conference and UNC is going to win it. SEC - I would've picked Vandy but they just lost to Cleveland State (not that CSU is a bad mid-major), and I will never pick UK. So I'm gonna pick Florida. Alabama should also get a bid, and Georgia could get one as well. Big Ten - This is going to be the deepest conference this year. Robbie Hummel is healthy for Purdue and Ohio State and Wisconsin return their best talent. Michigan will also be competing for the conference title and Michigan State will get a bid also. Either a resurgent Indiana or Minnesota will also compete for NCAA bids. Big XII - I'm going to go out on a limb and pick Mizzou. This may be their last year in the conference and I don't want to pick Baylor or Kansas, though all three, as well as Texas, Texas A&M, and maybe Kansas State should all get bids. I'm really looking forward to the final Mizzou-Kansas games. Pac-12 - Another down year for the Pac-10, it looks like. This race will come down to Arizona and Washington, again. I think Arizona will edge it out barely. Cal will get an NCAA bid, too. A-10 - Xavier will once again be a force to be reckoned with nationally, and Temple will make some noise as well. My Final Four: Syracuse, Ohio State, UNC, Florida NC: Ohio State -CSM |
