RPG challenges

You all know what these about right? Basically, you try and make a game as hard as you can, and do that, or something. It's a poor description but I think it's self explanatory. What are some RPG challenges you've done recently, if any?

In Super Mario RPG, how far can you go being the lowest level possible? Right now I'm in the middle of the Sunken ship and everyone is about level 6-7.

That's the only one I can think of because that's the only one I'm doing right now. I'll probably add some more later.

^It's possiblt to beat Mario RPG with Mario at level 3 and everyone else at the levels they start at by using the lucky jewel and getting no EXP at all.

Has anyone beaten FF6 with only Celes, Setzer, and Edgar? That's pretty tough.

KH, Destinty Islands lvl 1 ----> lvl 100. It can be done...but the time it will take is ungodly. I quit at 45 and began the game....killing everything in only a few hits.

How are you going to beat the game like that when one attack from Smithy will kill everyone?

I'm doing a couple of challenges in FFT

Straight character challenge. Using only one class for all 5 characters, cannot use any skills from any other classes once you get the class. Have to have it before dorter. I've done the monk one, which is probably one of the easier ones. I'm also doing the time mage, lancer and bard.

Solo ramza- i attempted it awhile ago but got stuck. I'll probably start it up again

Tactics double dare- an interesting challenge. You can only have two characters, with two classes each. They can switch between the classes and use the skills of either classes but no other. I'm using a thief/chemist and summoner/ninja

I heard about the level 3 thing as well. But I have to agree there, how DO you go through it like that when the stronger bosses in the game could just use magic attacks; strong magic attacks. I know you can defend against basically any physical ones if you're good, but magic, that's a different story. Maybe there's just something I don't know about... and you could explain.

BTW Marth, I've heard about those ones before, and I'm just curious. Did you see those on GameFAQs.com? Just a suggestion if you're interested, they have a huge document filled with FFT challenges such as those.

yea i did. I saw the challenge FAQ. I've got about 5 different games going, im good for now

Since you didn't specify Square/Enix challenges only even if it is in this forum, I figure I can post challenges from any RPG. The only challenge I can think of doing is beating Lashiec in Phantasy Star IV when only at Lv. 30 (the stats I got out of the Xe-A-Thoul with). Actually, it might have been luck. He didn't seem to feel like using Another Gate very much.

As for Square/Enix RPGs, I can't think of any I've done.

Using a Chemist against Altima in Final Fantasy Tactics, even though he DID have the blast gun.

Have you ever tried to beat the game without Orlandu and Beowulf?

i just beat the game with 5 monks two days ago. Just monks with hamedo, move hp up and punch skill. From dorter to altima. Although i used hp restore most of the game.

Probably an easy challenge, but you can try beating my FFT rush time if you are very bored. It's 12:24 for the save before Altima.

heh, nah i got a bunch of other saves in progress.

I probably already have that on my bard SCC. I was level 14 by dorter

Try beating Necron (Final Boss of FF9)
with...
A) all attackers (Zidane, Steiner, Amarant, Freya)
B) Hardly any items
C) Steiner doesn't have the Ragnarok or the Shock ability
D) Freya doesn't have that Dragons crest move that kicks ass equipped
E) Amarant doesn't have any Wing Edges to throw
F) No Status ailment blocking abilities.

If you thought Necron was easy (Which he was) then try beating him doing that.

done

done

E) Amarant doesn't have any Wing Edges to throw

and done.

Get through FF8 with only Quetzocotl, Shiva, and Ifrit.
