I'm rather disappointed with it. One of the greatest things about TO, FFT, and KoL is the attachment of the player to the units. I felt like a commander who is responsible for the well-being of my troops when playing those games. In this one, I am rather nonchalant when a unit falls in battle or gets hurt.

It's also rather easy.

If Mewt turns out to be a Yumil clone, I'm going to have to raid Square's headquarters and hurt some people.

I can't believe how mean those bullies were to Mewt in the first scene, If I were there, I'd give them a kick in the teeth. It's bad enough Mewt's mother is dead and his father's a Drunken boozehound, but do they really need to rub it in?

Wouldn't it be cool if you can Attack the judges?

Teacher: You know how to do this, so I'm gonna explain it again!! Yap yap yap yap yap, yap yap blah blah blah blah, yadda yadda yadda
Mewt: Man that guy over there's annoying!
Marche: Yeah, he's blabbing the rules that they would probably have already known.
Ritz: So are we gonna throw snowballs at him?
Bully 1: Yeah!!
Bully 3: Let's use the snowball with a rock in it we were planning on throwing at Mewt!
Teacher: Oh no....
Winning Condition: Defeat the Teacher!

That would be so fun if you could do that.

Got it today, and am playing it as we speak... (Err...I don't think that's the best phrase to use here...umm..as I type. There.)

Though I JUST started playing it.
I'm just at the part where Mewt brought that magic book or whatever over to Marche's house...

I just beat the mission in Giza Plains or whatever. So far, I like it much more than the original. I have no clue why though.

Have you ever noticed how Marche looks like Ramza, Famfrit looks like the final boss of FF3, The 2nd totema you fight looks like Altima, Adramelch is Adramelk, Exodus looks like X-death (Without that one dude trying to kill you of course) and that the 5th totema looks like the Disgruntled emperor from FF2?

I rather like Illusionists. Just get a bunch of them and have them devastate the enemy party while you are standing in one place. Make sure to get plenty of antilaw cards for copycat and illusion magic, though.

The 2nd Totema you fight is just a bunch of red crystals. I don't know how that resembles Altima. Famfrit does not look like Dark Cloud at all.

If you hit status on an Ultima crystal, it says "A toetma's alternate form" and i saw the art for Ultima in the Strategy guide in Gamestop and it was called "Ultima" and it looked like the angel you fight at the end of FFT.

It's pretty good, but I'm kinda annoyed about the lack of direction that the game gives. Freedom is good, but having no idea whatsoever about where the plot is unless you buy the strategy guide-with-the-first-65-pages-or-so-covering-the-basics is really annoying.

Hehe, same here.

I have a really big complaint about the game: It's mind-numbingly easy. My current strategy is to just put the enemies to sleep, strip them of all equipment, then finish them off at my leisure.

I like this one better than the original. It's nowhere near as deep, but its just all around fun and that is what I like about it.

Yes Assassins rule all!

I was so happy when I upgraded one of my units into one and started wiping out enemy units.
