Sora looks much older, and whose that kid behind Goofy? Kairi has a nice figure. Hehe....and Mickey Mouse is cool!! Mickey Mouses new image...hehe. I was so exited when I saw this, but wheres Riku?

September 25, 2003 - After months (or has it been years) of rumors, speculation, unofficial confirmation and official confirmation that was, upon further consideration, found to be unofficial confirmation, Kingdom Hearts 2 has finally been confirmed... officially. And this time we've got pictures and even first details as printed in a Japanese magazine (which hasn't been officially published yet, but will be shortly). The sequel to Disney and Square's first pairing (although, we should point out, it's now a pairing of Disney and "Square Enix") is titled Kingdom Hearts II. The game takes place a year following the events of the original and features what appears to be a slightly older Sora as its main character. Your adventures begin in Twilight Town this time around and will apparently involve a number of new characters in addition to old favorites.
A release date for the game has yet to be revealed, although we expect more details to be shared at Square Enix's press briefing scheduled for tomorrow in Tokyo. Stay tuned!

The first pictures of the sequel, available in this article's media page, were provided by some folks with early access to the upcoming issue of Jump magazine, the Japanese publication that managed to get the scoop.

Cool, Who's that Blonde dude behind Goofy and Mickey? Is it Riku? Did he dye his hair or is that some new guy.

And What T2K said, I'd be really happy if I see some FF4 characters (Prefably Kain or Edge, and it'd be SO cool if Kain joins) or FF6 characters (I'd like it if Locke, Celes, or Sabin appeared, and if Edgar appeared, it'd be sooooo funny if he tried to hit on Kairi ) And I'd also like to see Sq-Dammit-Leon change his name back to Squall and have Rinoa show up and possibly Zell or Irvine-The FF8 equiviants to Rictor! And I'd really like it if you get to fight Steiner and Vivi or Beatrix sometime, or if you got to talk to Eiko (Her Snobby attitude would be 10x funnier if a voice says it. ) sometime in the game like if she hangs out with the Moogles. I did want to see Rikku have a Cameo in the first one, but when I learnt about Riku, I figured that they would probably have to change her name or not put her in there at all because that'd create some confusion, or they might do something worse to her-Pop Star Rikku. *Shudder*

And do you think that Sora and friends will be exploring more Disney worlds, Square worlds, or other made up worlds? They already used up most of the good Disney worlds in the first one (Atlantica=Hell. ) and maybe they'll go into some other worlds, though by doing so, they'd probably be interfering with the storyline and if they take place after they saved the world, then it'd probably spoil parts of that game for those who hadn't played it.

They'll probably go to other worlds. (Hawaii to meet Stitch, hehe) I REALLY want to see more Final Fantasy characters too, but if they dont have much I dont care. Im still going to buy it. FF characters dont really mean much to me in that game, but its really cool to see them.

I think the hooded guy is Riku, because......

If any of you have seen the secret ending of Kingdom Hearts, one of the hooded guys have Riku's exact same hair style! So Im almost positive that it is.

Oh, and Kairi matured a bit more too, hehe....

I hope they don't go to Atlantica again. If they do, then there is gonna be a whole lotta screaming going on.

I dont know how they managed to make Mickey Mouse look ghetto fabulous, but its all good with me.

Bah, I have to deal with Donald and Goofy again? They had their moments...sure. But they usually just got real annoying some of the time.

^You kidding? I loved Donald, he always healed me. Plus hes funny. ^-^ Goofy is ok...

I did say they had their moments. But they got on my nerves alot too. Like in Hollow Bastion.

What I would have done to make Kingdom Hearts better was to either replace Donald and Goofy with someone like Vivi or Cecil or at least make them stronger (Donald's fine, Goofy's the one I have a problem with). My problem with Goofy is that he attacks with a SHEILD. Come on, Shields are used for Defense, who on earth attacks with a SHEILD? (Actually, you can attack with a sheild in Tactics Ogre the Knight of Lodis, but you're better off doing a move that deals more than 2 damage) And I'd improve his Defense, at the end, even with the most defensive accessories equipped, he still gets knocked out almost every battle. His Abilities are pretty great (Especially MP gift, it's the best ability to use while fighting the Phantom) And for his weapon, I'd add something that's built for damage-Like a Knife or something. And I hope Donald and Goofy aren't so annoying thsi time. Donald was very very VERY annoying in the beginning (Around Traverse Town to the Beginning of Hell/Atlantica) Goofy was kind of annoying throughout the whole game-It was funny the first time he kept mispronouncing stuff and Donald kept yelling at him, but I wanted to slap him around the 3rd time they did it. And in the Hollow Bastion...SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTHS ALREADY!!! Man were they annoying then.

Goofy uses a shield because he hates weapons. It says this in the instruction booklet. Don't you kids read those things anymore?

Donald and Goofy were alright, they each had their own uses at some times(Donald was best for a welltimed heal, while Goofy could plow over some guys and throw a potion when you needed it). I wish you could bring guys like Jack with you to other worlds, though.

I hope they make magic actually useful this go-round.

Magic was useful... for like, Tranverse Town. Then it stopped being useful... then Aero was like godly for all the later boss battles... and then that was it.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and Cure was always useful, if Donald didnt do it for you.

I know he doesn't like weapons, but what's wrong with them anyway?

Also, it'd be so great if you could bring Aladdin and Peter Pan with you to the last battle. (I actually had Aladdin with me while fighting Kurt Zisa because he's alot like goofy without MP gift and higher attack and he takes hardly any damage at all)

I meant the Pocahantes world. Its in Virginia, I think it would be cool. I would also want to see Hawaii for Lilo and Stitch.
