Ozma. must. be destroyed. just. like. this. topic.

I am in need of help to beat Ozma, from FF9. This loser won't even let me think about thinking about attacking.

What I did-

Equip everyone with something the absorbs Doomsday.

My party- Zidane, Vivi, Garnet, Steiner

If you can't reach him by attacking, either do the mini quest with the animals, or stick to non-physical attacks (I did the latter).

Make sure you are guarded against Silence (Vivi and Garnet) confuse (everyone) poison (everyone) and almost every other status ailment.

I used:

Zidane- Thievery - a good 3000-4000 damage
Vivi- Flare - Ozma doesn't have wall, so this helped.
Steiner- Shock over and over and over
Garnet- cast shell on the party, cure them, haste them, or, when Ozma uses the move that makes everyone mini and have a bunch of status ailments, cast mini on them to revert them. She has the most important job.

Ozma is all luck. See if you can get him to cast Doomsday on his first attack.

I never managed to beat Ozma, sorry.

Get equipment that absorbs Shadow.

I used Zidane, Amarant, Eiko and Freya.

Zidane - Thievery: 9999 damage.
Eiko - Healer. Her Phoenix summon can be very useful. Holy can also do some nice damage if she gets to use it. Full-Life is also very useful.
Amarant - He can throw stuff at Ozma. Aura and Chakra can be fairly useful too. Steiner's a pretty good substitute as well; Shock works well.
Freya - Reis's Wind and Dragon Crest. Reis's Wind to regenerate HP and Dragon's Crest to do 9999 damage.

I did the side-quest that enables you to hit him with close-range attacks. I was level 70+ when I beat him.

Ozma is all about luck, as was stated in the 2nd post above mine.
