FF7: Before Crisis

Although rumor has circulated for several years that a sequel to Final Fantasy VII was in the works, Advent Children dispelled the large majority of them. However, to the surprise of much of the gaming media, a direct prequel to the massively popular title was announced at Square Enix's press conference.

The prequel, entitled Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII, features the Turks, the Shinra corporation's skilled mercenary force. Although much of the game appears to be vaguely action-oriented in nature, the battle system features a modified but still tried-and-true menus and turn-based system. The biggest surprise about the game is probably that it is being developed by Square Enix's Mobile sub-division for use on cellphones. Whether the game will be coming stateside is a matter of some question, given that our delivery system for cellphone broadcasting isn't as standardized as Japan's. More information will be coming shortly from the show floor at E3.

If its a mobile game, i doubt we'll see it. They're doing similar games with Dragon Warrior I and FFI, which I also doubt we'll see.

I've seen screenshots. It looks pretty crappy.

The fact that they came up with such an awesome concept but chose to make it on CELL PHONES disturbs me.

I still don't see why some people get so worked up when ff7 is mentioned. What is so bad about it? so overrated about it? Just because it brought in more fans? just because it suposidly stole one of the older fan's favorite final fantasy's spot light?

Bass is right. Trust me. FFVII is nowhere near the most overrated game of all time. That spot belongs to Halo.

What we get so worked up about FF7 is the fact that alot of the world thinks it's the best game of all time completley ignoring other great games like Chrono Trigger and Zelda. That and that some idiots even think it's graphics are some of the best ever seen period, better than the PS2 graphics. Plus, have you ever been flamed-half-to-death and chased off a forum by FF7 hippies? I have-I used to go to these really crappy forum and when I reviewed Final Fantasy 7 and gave it a 7 out of 10, they acted like I called their mothers Child-molesting-Lesbian-terrorists and bashed me as much as DVGBA was bashed. I left the forum and they kept sending me stupid emails. (fyi, those forums and website died out two-years ago so I can't link you to that topic). I'm just glad that those FF7 hippies (The dumb FF7 fans) don't go here, otherwise the Admins wouldn't have been as busy banning people since Lupus.

FF7 is hardly even close to the most overrated game of all time. FF7 was amazing. It had flaws, duh, and the graphics, though great for that time, suck monkey butt, but holy friggin crap. You're basing this off of imbeciles who should locked up and systematically eliminated. I'll admit the new ff7 game being made by a cellphone company... sounds crappy... and just a sleazy way to make money(frankly I'd of rathered a novel released on that)... though.

^Like I said, the only FF7 fans we get here are the SMART FF7 fans, and Erdawn is proof of it.


What I said is that a majority of the world thinks FF7 was some gift from god to mankind, but with the rising number of Halo Hippies, Halo is going to top it. (Plus, just go to gamefaqs and count the 10's in its reviews) And the reason FF7 is the most overrated game of all time is BECAUSE of those imbeciles and retards with PETA and Politician I.Qs.

Are you maybe exxagerating about that? I'll admit I had fun playing the game but I never cried while playing a video game except for some really sad parts and when Final Fantasy X-2 turned into a whorehouse on a CD.
