Jay Resop Resigns As Co-Webmaster

You know, it was really hard keeping this under wraps the last few weeks. But, I feel now is time to say that Jay is done with doing any major work with SMBHQ and NC.

I wrote a big long update about this for the site, so I don't want to write too much more. Jay was an interesting personality and we should still see him in the mailbag and stuff like that (and I'm pretty sure he will still be around here on the forums).

The good news in all of this is that Kyle is returning as co-webmaster, since he now had more time to work on the site than he did 5 years ago when he left.

So, Jay's done with being co-webmaster and you are all free to wish him well in this topic.

Heh, I just want to repeat that I'm not going anywhere.

The only thing is that I'm no longer going to officially call myself a webmaster of SMBHQ (meaning that I'd be responsible to actually update the thing on a regular basic). But I haven't been really updating SMBHQ on a regular basis anyway, so it's not like anything is actually changing. Like I said, I still would like to do random stuff for the site here and there (like the Mailbag). So I'll be around.

As for NC, I haven't really decided what's going to happen. I don't think it's going to shut down for good. For now, I think I'll continue with the status quo for now (aka updating when I can).

What I may like to do is start to encourage more viewer stuff. Or maybe have a few guest authors that I trust to start getting more ideas or more material for the site. People I know I could trust to do good stuff, like Reid, CK, Alph, CSM, Chunky Kong, ect. Mainly, vets of the site, people I know. I don't think I'll start accepting stuff from random new people.

I have to think about it, but I may still write the next NC/SSS Mach 2 episode. I have to talk to Reid about it sometime, to see where he wants me to go with the series. But I may be able to continue the series.

Anyway, I'm around, so feel free to send me an e-mail or IM or PM with any ideas or comments. Thanks, heh.-jay
