Question Revive BOTVGH!!!

Hello, and welcome to my first unexplainable topic. Now I know you guys are all hooked on video games, and I want to revive reading...THE FUN WAY!!! As many of you(except Sean Kelly) don't remember, there was an old fan-fic part of SMBHQ called BOTVGH(Battle Of The Video Game Heroes). If Sean remembers, it started out as a series of arguments between Mario and Cranky Kong. It had various Christmas eps, Shorts, the very crazy Cranky and Zelda get married eps, and various other random eps that were great! Now I know most of the BOTVGH authors are either in their late teens or possibly married, but since i'm only 10 i'll need something to do. But then in early 2001, BOTVGH ended actually patheticly by making Doomsday happen and making everyone except Link and Samus die. Pretty crappy if you ask me. But I have a feeling, that if we all get back into that old BOTVGH spirit, we could add more to SMBHQ. DID YOU SEE HOW MANY VEIWS IT ORIGANALLY HAD?!? So that's what i'm saying! The more visitors we get, the more veiws we get for our site, and the more people willt talk about it, and just maybe if you make it strong enough, it could end up on the news like various other sites! So don't make SMBHQ boring! Make me happy, make yourself happy, make EVERYONE happy!!! We need action, comedy, romance, drama, and random things. We need H cuz,Martain Smith, Sean Kelly, KlawKat, Yoshi Bros, Michel, Matt Brousard, everyone back! I don't care if they're drunken hobos now, we still need them.(Unless they're so drunk they post some stupid ep like Mario and the bunny, featuring Mario hugging a rabbit. BLEH! So spred the word guys! Make SMBHQ an even better place!

Good Luck.

Sean is too busy having life (or was it Websites? Hard to tell)

Chunky has gone legitimatley insane.

Jay is retired.

And SMBHQ is dead ()

Plus, no one knows what BOTVGH means. Please clarify.

Ugh, it means Battle Of The Video Game Heroes. If you don't know what it is, go to SMBHQ and go to BOTVGH. It's on the home page.

I repeat, Sean does not run BOTVGH, nor does he have any time for it.

I know who runs it, and have asked them. They have said no.

If you really, really have to have someone official (well, moreso than me, and debatedly I am pretty official) tell you no, then I can even get the true leader of BOTVGH to... reiterate what I said to you.

Well, I guess i'll have to think about what the heck i'm gonna do. The only way we could make some new fan-fic is to go to the SMBHQ one. This may not work because i've never done this. Topic=Closed
Edit: What do you know? I doesn't work. I'll be around the forum a lot of the time. Consider this topic dead until someone finally figures out a way to revive it.

I asked them. The site shall remain an archive, but since it was eons ago since it was last done, it shall remain just an archive.

Have you considered joining the Gunjin?

Its focused on battle scenes and has a lot of user created characters, but using old video game characters is still pretty common.

BOTVGH was awesome. At least the one that I read was. Which also happened to be the one that I co-wrote.

^^Have you read NC?

If not, try it. It's pretty much a snail when it comes to updating, but it has an impressive back history to read.

And yes, BotVGH was incredible.

No. The Gunjin is one of the many forums here at VGF. It's actually the neck of the woods I'm allowed to run, though I admit I'm not as active in it as I used to be. If you like bizarre encounters between characters, both original and not so, in battle format, check out the Gunjin.

BOTVGH is a 12 year old site (at least) which is home to some of the worst fanfiction I have ever read.

Why would you want that crap back?

He's about the age all of us were when we were reading it/could have been reading it/writing it and thinks it is cool.

SMBHQ is not dead. Sections like news, the log, and Sean's link and content updates here and there still go on not to mention SMBHQ has yet to be discovered by some people who, if they're Mario fans or whatever, may like it and keep visiting. So all in all the site is not just sitting on the net taking up space and seeing no activity.

I for one have to say that my bro should change his name. He just dosn't get that the big fan fic sections aren't going to revive! Yes I liked BOTVGH too(so Luigi007, there's people who like it), but I just think that it's not going to go on.

Of course, it's reaching an increasingly exclusive set of people who do that.

smbhq.com - Traffic Details from Alexa

The stats show that SMBHQ is becoming less and less... well, popular.
